Ok, I've been looking around and have so far been unable to find a solution to my problem.  I hadn't played ME2 in a while, but I figured I'd get the DLC I'd missed and do a run-through.  My troubles started with it being unable to connect to Cerberus Network.  I was able to turn off the automatic log in and found that it was able to connect when I tried manually but I don't really bother right now.  However the problems didn't stop.  Now every time I start up the game, after the "press any key" screen, the game freezes and according to my task-manager goes to "Not Responding".  If I wait 5-10 minutes it will start working again and I am able to pray with no real problems.  Waiting 10 minutes every time I want to play though is needlessly annoying.  Can anyone help?  If there is a thread where this is answered please point me to it.  In the meantime here are my system specs:

OS: Windows 7 64bit
CPU: 2.13GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4G of Ram
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M 1Gig
DirectX 11
