Is BioWare the new king of PC gaming?

I never knew IQ measurements could result in negative numbers.

Anyway, no OP, just no. Blizzard is sort of stuck repeating the Kerrigan story line in its games (Kerrigan, Arthas and that woman in the D3 trailer is probably going to be possessed by Diablo), but at least its games are very highly polished and playable. If Bioware was capable of producing stuff like Baldur's Gate, sure, it'd be a real contest but all I see from Bioware is *GIGGLESQUEEGLOMP* "romances".

No. The king of PC gaming wouldn't have released terrible ports. The King of PC gaming would have proper mod support. The King of PC gaming would have stayed loyal to the RPG fanbase instead of jumping to the console audience
The king of PC gaming would have made games for PC, not for consoles.
The King of PC gaming would have used a digital distribution service that ISN'T spyware.
The King of PC gaming should be a humble man, one who can take criticisms, one that sees the flaws and gets rid of them, one who tries to be unique. The King of PC gaming would delay games to make them better, not rush them out. The King of PC gaming would try to appeal to fans of a franchise, and make the lore of a sequel fit in with the previous ones. The King of PC gaming is not Bioware.
Bioware does not do any of these things.
If you honestly think Bioware is the king of PC gaming, get out of the basement and play something other than Bioware, Bethesda and Blizzard games.
The only man who comes close to being king is GabeN

I wouldn't expect anything less from a video gaming community. Whether it's shooter, RPG, or MMO.

Any more dull than the totallitarian reigime where saying DA2 was awful results in you getting banned? Accepting terrible stuff is bad, telling people they should accept it is the reason the video game industry is in a desperate situation right now.

A King of video games would not charge us for clothing and weapon packs in Mass Effect 2. A King would not employ someone like Jennifer Hepler, a person who doesn't even like PLAYING games. You've done great things in the past Bioware but you guys need to quit falling into the traps that other games are falling into.

LOL. I've been pretty hard on DA2 at times, myself. I was able to put the things I didn't like behind me enough to enjoy the game, but I haven't pulled any punches when talking about the things I hated.

I've especially ragged on the new designs for the darkspawn. I think they're absolutely horrid, and harshly criticized them in a thread over in the DA2 forums recently.

Yet here I stand - as have many others I've seen who were harsh in their criticisms (some even harsher than mine).

I wonder that no one hasn't still claimed that It is subjective and therefore crap!

Back to topic, I think in Sport Games EA is the king. Obsidian could be the King of RPG but South Park and DS3 screwed it up.
About other genres I'm not informed enough to make the opinion.

Bioware may have been the king of PC PRGS once upon a time. Now? Nah.
And I was in SW:TOR beta. Better than Wow, but only because of the storey. Otherwise it's a clone. Stale gemaplay and 0 innovation, just like WoW.

Bilizzard is not even on my radar. Their games are well-funeded, but I find most of them utterly boring and stylisticly simple. Also, as a companya the jsut roip off others peoples ideas. And when they run out, they rip off their own.

Blizzard use to be the unofficial king of PC gaming but I think its Valve now. STEAM is great and TF2 is great (although I agree its been muddled up too much now and the hats have been pretty overdone) and all of their PC versions of games and PC support is great.

(Bioware is cool too though and they are one of the companies that still do the PC justice)

I don't play Valve games, I don't like them. Steam has been around for while, that and TF2 don't make them kings. Blizzard has long streak of high quality games. There were ton of players playing their 11-12 year old games, until SC2 launched. One game doesn't make a king. :P
