From what I've seen of EA's attitude towards the PC (ala Madden), I see Bioware/EA moving away from the PC as much as possible except regarding MMO efforts.

In my eyes, the kind of PC might be Valve, Blizzard, or Bethesda with CD Projekt not too far out of the running.

Bethesda? Skyrim was built from source code off of Oblivion which was a main market console game. Not to mention the fact that they can't get their **** stright post launch, with game breaking issues mainly focused on the PC. I see Bethesda as a studio who makes wonderful games, WHEN they actually work as intended. How Skyrim recieved as grand of reviews as it got is astounding considering the amount of **** that went wrong day one. I mean, the game wasn't even bloody playable on the PS3.

The true PC god DEVS are as you said, Valve and Blizzard. But as many gamers tend to forget, the PC master race is far from perfect.

Also, this thread reeks of elitism.

I used to be a console gamer until I saw a game I had played on my XBOX on a PC.

There was simply no comparison.

So I sold my XBOX, all my games, and upgraded my PC. Anyway, former consoler here who's glad about the "former" and will always remain so.

I wonder, though. If this thread were about king of consoles would you then consider it elitist? Of course, it's elitist, and would be either way. It's about ONE system. :)

Huh, I have had not one issue with Skyrim on my PC.  I can't remember any issues with Oblivion either, but I didn't buy that at launch.

I have 2 360's in the casa and 3 pc's (2 gaming rigs and a laptop) lol. My newest rig is mega powerful pc (me luvy luv heart luv). ok anyway. My point is I'm not some PC elite snob cuz I love my consoles too.

King of PC gaming hierarchy according to me: (current stuff only)

1. EA Bioware - (ME1, ME2, DAO, SWTOR) So much good stuff in the past few years!

2. Bethesda - (Skyrim)

3. CD Projekt - (The Witcher 2)

4. Blizzard - (Starcraft2) I've never played WOW.

5. EA DICE - (Battlefield 3) A---freakin----mazing on PC! Have it on 360 too.

6. Eidos - (Deus Ex: Human Revolution)

To me Bioware is definitely the King at the moment despite DA2.  They just seem to crank out so much good stuff.

We are talking about King of PC gaming. So the PS3 comment doesn't really fit here.  No offense at all or anything because I have read multiple sources confirming a PS3 disaster.  None the less though it has nothing to do with the topic.  And, nothing to do with Bethesda's place in our imaginary king of PC gaming hierarchy.

No offense again but you don't know what you are talking about.  You're completely wrong about Bethesda not having their shizzle together post launch.  Once again, we are talking about PC here.  There were absolutely not "game breaking issues mainly focused on PC" as you said.  Where did you get that information?

I was in line at midnight.  Picked up my copy of Skyrim and was home by like 1AM.  Put the game in.  Installed everything.  Launched steam and was playing Skyrim by about 1:30 AM.  I've clocked over 200 hours and haven't had a single problem with the game.  With the small exception of Steam being stupid and randomly shutting down every now and then.  But that's not Bethesda's fault.

So where is all this dysfunctionality you speak of???  NOT on PC.

Is this your direct experience....a friends?  Or something you read about?

I could be totally wrong but I think any major Skyrim problems, on the PC, stem from people trying to run on inadequate PC's.  Well duh...that's not going to work.

Anyway, Reptile Rob I'm not feeling rude about it or anything so I hope you don't receive it that way.

CDPR has wanted to be multi-platform from the beginning.

It doesn't help that the witcher 2 was pirated at a 4 to 1 ratio.
