Liara has always had a unique look. Many Asari have a cookie-cutter apperance, she is supposed to stand out. I personally think she looks the best in the level up ME3 shot

The 2nd pic is way too dark to even compare. She's in shadow, so I don't think it's an accurate comparison one can make. It's probably just the lighting.

Nah, I'm willing to bet that Anderson is going to be in his Admiral's uniform in the final game. The one we see in the beta leak is made to look like it's been torn, bloodied and stained after the Reapers arrive. A new texture + a few tweaks to the model (and featured in the most recent build) = permanent imo. Compared with the outfit he was previously shown in, which was pretty much just a copy of Shepard's.

In ME1, Liara's face was distractingly plain. Like I would get mesmerized by how boring it was. Really. >_>'

This Liara looks faded, like she's been run through the washing machine too many times. Why can't they just pick a face and stay with it? Personally I think Lotsb looks the best.

They all look the same, its just lighting. The only difference I can see is lipstick colour, and that hardly seems like something to get worked up about.

Could be facepaint of some kind - I didn't think Asari had hair. Although why you'd choose to paint eyebrows is beyond me, so I have no idea.

They usually have facial markings which suggest eyebrows.  For example, Rana Thanoptis



Liara and Benezia just have a variation that resembles eyebrows more than most

I've always actually been a fan of her little Sharpie eyebrows.  That's another thing that's very human.  Maybe Asari make themselves look however they want to look to attract the species of their choice, kind of like what the guys at that bachelor party were talking about.  Liara clearly has human looking eyebrows and some other Asari have face paint like Turians.  I mean aside from perhaps just taking on the traits of their other parent as a tribute, maybe it really is "I kind of want to attract a Turian mate so I'll put on some face paint as a common factor."  Who knows.

I like that ME3 pic of Liara but she looks so tired, poor gal.    I'm sure that's just the lighting but they all actually have to be pretty exhausted anyway.

It's indeed an odd choice for facepaint, considering how colorful they usually are.

With the lighting, it's difficult to tell, but I'd say it's closer(at least in the 2nd screenshot) to LotSB. The picture MACharlie1 posted is a bit on the creepy side... Zombiliara?

I was wondering the same thing.

I don't have any opinion about lip colour but I prefer the ME1 & ME3 look over LotSB look.

Hmm, painted eyebrows seems pretty tame compared to that. The again, painted eyebrows makes more sense than her somehow having real eyebrows when no other Asari do apart from Benezia.
