I wasn't so much saying that the Revenant was an AR per se, and not technically an LMG, or that the Raptor is a sniper and not really a battle rifle, but more referring to which weapon slots they go in.SaturnRing wrote...
To me the M-112 is a re purposed battle rifle designed to shoot targets at 600yds. I don't see it as a sniper rifle per se.

Yeah, I caught a glimpse of that too. Shame the player didn't give us a taste of what it handled like.Someone With Mass wrote...
The Raptor is definitely a sniper rifle. It didn't show up in the assault rifle list in that part of the Sur'Kesh level.

Well i'm not totally accurate in my assessement about the raptor or revenant anyway: there's room for different interpretations; its just me reading too much into it.Adragalus wrote...

My confusion came from the fact that i thought the M112 raptor and the raptor were 2 different guns. One is listed under AR while the other is under SR.Someone With Mass wrote...

If the weight isn't too bad, my Sentinel might roll with that shotgun/pistol hybrid gun. Armor+Cyro Blasts+Shotgun blasts=Never gets old.
Nasty gun!

Never the less, I think the Indra will be MY new sniper rifle of choice for my soldier.
Hope we see a pic soon.

Gamestop says it's 2 round burst but I think they are basing that off the pre order video where Shepard only shoots it twice each time.cookman43 wrote...

I think two round burst could be awesome and not as limiting as the mattock; although i have no idea what the actual fire rate will be. I'm leaning toward 2 round burst because it's high powered ( don't think we'll get the full package).TexasToast712 wrote...

@incinerator950: because it's a bug gun ( the c.a.r. ), i wonder what it would look like with upgrades ( provided that we could actually customize it ). They should keep that bug style for all the goodies that you could attach to it.

I do hope they have either ditched the daft noise the Locust made in ME2, or made sure the N7 SMG based on the Locust has a decent sound. I liked using the Locust, but the sound effect was horrible (and rather pointless).
Curious to know how they will make the burst fire Assault Rifles have a different feel, with the Vindy, Argus and Valkyrie all having burst fire of some type. It'll be interesting to see how different the Argus handles from the stock Mattock on which it is based, and why you would trade the fairly quick firing semi-automatic for a burst weapon, unless damage and ammo availability varies enough.

It's easy to mount a rail on pretty much anything these days, and convert the most stubborn gun into a modular weapon. But i can understand that collector tech would give someone pause.All-a-Mort wrote...
Can't imagine you can mod the bug gun...how would attach a scope to it, sticky secreted resin?

Apologies for my ignorance, I'm a Brit. They don't let us have guns; they don't even let me have sharp objects.SaturnRing wrote...

None needed! It's a perfectly valid point you're making. I'm not an expert either. My theories are all hypothetical. After all we talking about the future. I'm actually going along the point you're making.All-a-Mort wrote...

I can see where Mort's coming from, though... the Geth Plasma Rifle was the only other "alien" weapon in the series, and it was unmoddable in ME1. However, according to devs I think, all weapons are fully moddable.SaturnRing wrote...
