i didn't like the one on the M-5 phalanx [( didn't show on certain surfaces ) and the trigger takes awfully long to reset]but i imagine they fixed that issue. i'd love a laser on the carniflex though.Someone With Mass wrote...
Oh, and I think the devs have mentioned laser sights for the pistols. Not something that was covered in the script.
What's with all the bullpup guns!?

Idk what bullpop means - but it seems like there's a lot of guns similar to the mattock. (Is it burst fire? I forget - well whatever it is, it seems like there are a lot) but then again, I'm just basing it off the preorder bonuses.
All bullpup is, is the configuration of a weapon.
And there are very few weapons in the ME universe that I'd feel comfortable calling bullpup. Maybe the Mattock and CAR (Collector Assault Rifle) come closest from ME2.

the idea behind a bullpup gun is shortening the part of the gun that sticks out in front of your hands, without reducing the lengh of the barrel. you can achieve that by moving the trigger/fire/ejection mechanism behind the trigger ( in the stock) as oppose to more conventional weapons where it is housed on top of the trigger. in theory you get a more versatile gun designed for close quarters as well as open areas. but the iron sights usually stinks. you gotta have some kind of optics mounted on them.lightsnow13 wrote...

me not liking them is more or less a cosmetic issue.
@Praetor Shepard: even the falcon looks too "bullpupy" to me, but you right it's more about my perception of the gun on a cosmetic standpoint.

Not to mention that in some cases, it can spray very hot shells right in your face or arm.

It's a little weird too, considering that the muzzle flashes are about as big as your head.

yeah i think so too; that's why i find it intriguing that they(game dev) decided to go that way at all.Someone With Mass wrote...
The only sound suppressed weapons in ME3 are the Hornet and the Locust, and I have no idea about how they perform.

Thanks, the info you're providing is really hepful. i'm actually setting up classes based on the weapons available in ME 3.

Assault rifle and sniper is all what I need.
i plan on being cold, calculated and deliberate when it fits the bill. but i sure will blow stuff up specially if it has that batarians or cerberus gene written all over it( they will be packing extra heat themselves: M-358 talon; AT-12 raider)

I like it as well. Hand cannons isn't really my style.
It'll be fun to put tasers and laser sights on it.

How is the black widow different from the widow?Falcon500 wrote...
I want a Black Widow with a extended barrel, concentration module, and enhanced scope with a M237S Hornet with a 2x scope, high caliber barrel, and enhanced stock, plus a scorpion pistol. Infiltratin' like a BAWS.

I suspect it is the upgrade to the Widow, so even more powerful.
On another note, how is a sound suppresor useful in a game like ME3 anyway?

i'm with you on this. first it sounded like a great idea; but if it is limited to submachine guns i don't see how it will help from a tactical point of view. by the time you done taking down someone's shield the whole neighbourhood knows you're coming.Stardusk78 wrote...

I guess we won't find out until we see a little more of actual gameplay(demo).
*for the black widow i'd love to see a transition from bolt-action to semi-auto!(or maybe not [ old school ] )
