Does anyone know if the 2x scope will be just a zoom in? or an actual scope?

The pistol scope?

It's an actual scope.

It's like the scopes on the sniper rifles in the other games.

That makes perfect sense, ya know, since the P90 feeds top down.

Belgians make good guns.
The gun i really have trouble with is the Revenant. For some reason i can't figure it out or utilize it. Can't figure out if it's a light machinegun or a battle rifle or for which type of mission it is better suited. I was wondering what you guys think?!

I'm not sure if I speak for everyone, but I would say the Revenant is more of light machine gun than a battle rifle.  Unless you fire it in bursts, it's pretty inaccurate, although the accuracy upgrade and adrenaline bursts helps with this issue.  If you can get pretty close to the enemy, you can mow them down pretty quick firing full auto.  I will sometimes put a team mate who can use snipers on my team and just go full auto at a range to draw fire so they can snipe.  Or I'll just be like a cool guy in the movies and hip fire auto while running down a hallway B).  Hopefully this helps/ is what you were asking.

To stay on topic, I'm curious if the revenant or phaeston will get any unique attachments.  That being said, will the Phaeston even get attachments since it's listed under heavy weapons?

I think that was a mistake, since the Phaeston is used by the turian husks and it's a turian weapon which looks like an assault rifle.

That, and it sounds like a fully automatic weapon as well as being the turian infantry's primary weapon, which makes it look like an assault rifle even more, because something like Pheaston would probably be horribly dwarfed by heavy weapons like the Javelin or the Spitfire.

I want a Black Widow with a extended barrel, concentration module, and enhanced scope with a M237S Hornet with a 2x scope, high caliber barrel, and enhanced stock, plus a scorpion pistol. Infiltratin' like a BAWS.

How is the black widow different from the widow?

I suspect it is the upgrade to the Widow, so even more powerful.

On another note, how is a sound suppresor useful in a game like ME3 anyway?

That'd be dumb. So it's another mantis < widow situation? I hated how the widow made the mantis obsolete.

Maybe the black widow has something different to it?...

it looks like he's able to alternate between viewing down the scope and just simply zooming in? That'd be awesome.

No, that's the blindfire function. It doesn't zoom in as much as a regular sight does and it's a little more inaccurate.

darrrn.. it'd be cool if you could click the right stick to be able to use the scope instead of forcing the zoom on you. Blindfire is new addition to the game though - I wonder how good it'll be? I never cared using it much in GoW - preferred accuracy over random shooting.

I think that M-112 Raptor is classed under Sniper Rifles. It's the semi-automatic weapon with the Cerberus color scheme that Shepard used in the Squad Leader trailer. It's a sniper rifle because I saw someone in the beta picked it up in the Singleplayer beta, but couldn't use it because Soldier Shepard use restricted to Assault Rifles, Shotguns, SMGs, and Heavy Pistols. Meaning that the weapon didn't show up when the player was at the weapon loadout screen.

It may be a battle rifle repurposed into a sniper rifle. i did overkill a little here. my bad!

Huh. I didn't even know that weapon was available to the player in the beta.

It was, it's just that a majority of the players overlooked it. This one particular Youtuber, however, found it, but too bad that the player couldn't use it though, I wanted to see it in action (besides the Squad Leader trailer).

thats kindof a big dissapointing. i like scopes, but i dont like looking through a scope 100% of the time. esspecially with a full auto AR. its too hard to implement over the shoulder AND a scoped view, or what???

looks like i simple wont be using a scope after all. thats pretty dumb.

Agreed.  I don't know how many times I posted "balance the weapons" as a suggestion for ME3.

Simply put no gun should be superior to any other in every possible way.  This is doubly true in Mass Effect 3 since guns like the Widow, Revenant, and Claymore can now be wielded by everyone.

My hope is that the Black Widow does more damage per shot then the Widow; but has less ammo and/or takes longer to reload.

PS:  I really hope the Avenger is actually worth a damn in ME3.  Its such a cool looking gun and the way it functioned in ME2 (accuracy, recoil and  clip size) was really nice; but it was just so damned weak that using it on higher difficulty settings was suicidal.

I worded that very poorly, so I edited my post.

What I meant to point out was that anyone can use them now.   So they can't be just straight up better than other weapons in their class like they were in ME2 (prior to the release of DLC guns any way).

Oh. Yeah, I see what you mean.

By the way, the Avenger has a reduced clip size to 25 rounds, but there are weapon mods that can increase it.

Sent you a PM regarding the M-112 Raptor.

Anyways, I hope that the Avenger has enough stopping power and accuracy to make up for its rather small clip of 25 rounds, AND to be able to compete with the other assault rifles in ME3. I pre-ordered at Gamestop, giving me the Argus, Valkyrie, and soon the Chakram Launcher (via Reckoning) to use as my assault rifle. Hope it can compete, otherwise I'll probably have to mod the Avenger via Coalesced.ini like how I did in ME2.
