 Hello

First of all, DONT READ if you have NOT play Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2

I have a doubt about Human Alliance and Turian Hierarchy.

In Mass Effect 2 seems like Humans Alliance fleet is the biggest of citadel space, when before(Mass Effect 1) the Turians supposed to have the largest fleet by far, wiht a big presence on the citadel.

I play saving and sacrificing the council and the destiny Ascention, in both case seems like Humans earn more power than suspected, taking the Turians role.

My doubt is, is now the Alliance military the main fleet of citadel space, does humanity take Turians place?

To me, logic says Turians must have largest fleet, no matter how big his presence on the citadel was, cuase they have most of the fleet in there planet etc.

Also, if you do sacrifice the council Humans take the power of the council cause there no candidate to it from the main especies(most of them supossed to die in the Destiny Ascention), but this won't justify a larger fleet of Humanity than the Turian fleet.

Greetings and thank you.

It seems to me that the Alliance military became the citadel's new protectorate fleet because their fleet may be stronger. Especially since the alliance is the only species to implement carrier warfare. A bigger fleet may bot be helpful when a few ships are stronger. Take sovereign as an example, he as a single ship decimated the entire citadel fleet.

You make your point. Other main species lost many main battle cruises and Alliance lost only a few, becoming the only species with the capacity to replace the lost main cruises.

I did not see this and make much sense. Thank you for your opinion Rex285.

Well according to the in game codex (and the wiki) Here are the dreadnaught numbers

During the year 2185, the dreadnought count is 39 turians, 20 asari, 16 salarians, and 8 humans.  So if the other classes are in similar proportions, humanity still has the weakest fleet of the major races. Note that this is after the Eden Prime war.

The codex entries also say that humanity was the first to field carriers, that implies that the other races have them as well.

Interesting intel Ranger, I haven't seen that on the codex, i will have a look right now.

If by Eden Prime War you mean Sovereign attack to the citadel, Human take too much power in case of Council dead, why would the Turians, Salerians, Asari and rest of species take so much power.

I think the situation of the Citadel is more realistic when the council survive.

When I saw the cutscene I was rather shocked on how few Council Ships there was. Then the Alliance came and I thought, why is their fleet massively bigger?

I might be remembering wrongly but I think that the Council said that they were going to station ships at all mass relays leading to the Citadel (which presumably didn't last long), suggesting that they would've been rather spread out.

Well, is not that they last a few seconds, Sovereign just go through ignoring the fleet and Geth ships stay out fighting. The point of Reorte is good, unfortunately, the game does not say what percent of there fleet they send to thoose relays.   True is that you dont see that many ships on the battle(maybe the console could not run too many of them?), but definitely it gives you the feeling they have a major force in the area.
