I smell Kaidan's armor being available for Shepard via DLC, since Vega's already is.
??????????????
What are you talking about now?
About this? (from James Vega's thread)

Looks like Shepard will be available to play around in a similiar looking armor like Vega.

You do realize that getting the Shep version from GameStop does not have to mean you can put it on Vega right? In fact I'm allmost certain you can't.

For all the crap BioWare spew about wanting to make their characters iconic, they seem quick to make Vega's outfit available as DLC.
When they wear them together, they're bi-conic.

The picture below is from "features" from @gamer magazine. As you can see, James is wearing some kind of bulky armor with strangely shaped chest piece. Notice the disposal of white lines painted on armor, note that this armor is supposed to be in Alliance colours (according to "The art of Mass Effect universe").
It's very likely not a placeholder, that means that James wears this sommewhere in game.
Now look at Shepard's Defender armor. Notice bulkiness, strange shape of chest piece and this white elements. Note the fact that it's blue.
Actually, the only difference I've noticed is that Shepard has N7 stripe (rather strange one, but still) and N7 logo.
This makes me think that you can put Shepard in armor, normally available for Vega, but not other way around.

Incentive for early purchase? Sure, but I am still missing items from all the preorder (and dr pepper) codes and its driving me crazy. Its not really all that important but the collector rifle seemed really cool and I am sure some people wanted the blackhole gun from gamestop.

You could be right but I'm not betting on it though.

I will admit it looks cool and am dissapaointed that I will be unable to get it. Heavier armor is always a good thing in my opinion. I just wonder what it looks like on femshep.

Yeah, BioWare really screwed the pooch with how it handled the Terminus Armor and Blackstorm after the pre-order period passed, but they were pretty good at getting the other pre-order bonuses out there aside from the Dragon Age one IIRC. Hopefully they'll take a page out of the Arkham City playbook and release all the pre-order stuff in one pack a month or so after the game is released.Nashiktal wrote...
Aw man I hope they release this stuff as buyable DLC later. I am restricted to one store and am incapable of ordering from any other due to certain circumnstances (besides ( already have the CE on preorder.)

You know these bonuses have contract tied to them....if BioWare was contractually obbligated not to release the gamestop items to the general public there was nothing they could do.

It becomes half as heavy, very form fitting and flattering and FemShep wears heels with it.
Seriously though she'll probably look like a tank too.

I never did. Her robes looked too cold and my characters tended to be warriors.

Freakin hate retailer exclusive DLC. But then again, Gamestop started the trend, so you can't blame everyone else from jumping the bandwagon.
You gotta give it to them though....with this preorder bonus they really hit the jackpot big time...an N7 armor and an N7 rifle. The rifle is the most iconic firearm in ME and to not only get a rifle but THE N7 rifle on top of an N7 armor. That's huge.....I can't immagine how much they paid EA for this bonus....maybe they traded all the children of everyone working for gamestop or in some way affiliated with gamestop to get this.

Considering the Kestrel armour looked nice and bulky on Femshep in ME2 (i.e. no boobplates or fitting around her hips like the N7 armour, funny actually how she looks much more "shapely" in armour than the casual outfits, lol), the Vega armour will probably look exactly the same on her as it does on Vega, just sized down.

I'd consider the Avenger far more iconic than whatever that thing Gamestop's offering is called, myself. Possibly demonstrated by the fact I refer to it as "that thing".Darth_Trethon wrote...

Oh well. It'd take a whole lot more than a rifle and some bulky shoulder pads to make me consider ordering from Gamestop of all places, even if I wasn't one of those filthy unwashed masses who live outside of the United States, and was thus actually eligible for any of this crap.

I really hope Bioware gets a better contract for this pre-order bonus and will be able to release it as DLC later. From what I hear, the Blackstorm was a great weapon in ME2, and it would have been useful for me. I hope Bioware learned from that and didn't make the contract permanently exclusive.

I hope so too but as of now I'm not counting on it. Though BioWare should know there will be huge demand for that rifle and armor long after the game is released.

About no boobplates for this armor - look at the size of original chestplate. If boobplates will be added there, I'm totally buying this on eBay and use on my fem Vanguard just for intimidating effect!alex90c wrote...
