Gets a better contract? You do realise that EA are the IP owners and subsequently form all contracts with retailers, this stuff is a selective marketing bait scheme by EA in its purest form, I don't think it has anything to do with retailers, who wouldn't really try and throw their weight around over a pre release item DLC.

If anything they would only want to make sure they get the best one compared to their competitors, they have to offer something to EA not the other way around. So I doubt that EA of all companies is going to able to be strong armed into making things contractually exclusive unless it wants to. CDPR released all pre releease DLC after several months, and as others have said Rocksteady have also done the same thing and they seem to have less pull than a multinational the size of EA.

No idea as of right now. As far as I can tell we don't have info on the looks of the wapons in the vanilla version of the game.

I feel your pain. I already ordered with Amazon and unless they come up with a better pre-order exclusive I'm gonna have to cancel that order and pre-order with Gamestop. The Best Buy exclusive I can do without but I hope all these store exclusives will be availible later. I still would like to get that Argus rifle.

Yeah their preorder bonus is weak as it is and it's allmost certainly a temporary one too.

Retailer-exclusive pre-order freebies are one of the many reasons I hate a lot of the videogame corporations. EA/Bioware, if they are smart, will follow the lead of many companies that release said "exclusives" as paid DLC later. If not, they will further alienate many fans, including myself.

At this point, I hope the amazon pre-order is decent. There is no way I will ever give any money to Gamestop, no matter what unique goodies they might negotiate.

Why? It's just a weapon, and you can upgrade weapons of your choosing that will probably be better than the exclusive weapons from a store.

Yeah, as much as I want the Gamestop stuff, they have no pick up in store option for ME3 last time I checked and won't ship it so it gets to my place on release day. Amazon at least will get it to me on release day, so there's one thing it has on GameStop.

IDK man, of all the preorder bonuses I've ever seen this has GOT to be the best. I caved in fast and had my preorder with gamestop for my 2nd CE within minutes after seeing it. Thanklfully the N7 SR is part of the CE so I don't have to worry about missing out on that.

But the bright side is that this rifle is the last of the N7 weapons unless they'll have an N7 heavy weapon which I doubt.
