I think platform exclusive may have the slight edge in deviousness. Right there with platform exclusive early release (I'm talking to you EA/Sony).

I have the Gamestop package for Mass Effect 2 and the Terminus armor is no loss in my opinion.  However, the Blackstorm, that I'd be upset about.  It's a fun gun and according to script information here, it looks like Bioware is going to resolve this with a weapon in Mass Effect 3.

The trend downright sucks, agreed. However, this wasn't exactly unforseen. Evil Chris warned us himself.

Still, not a big letdown for me, don't really dig that armor =) I just hope the same will apply to other exclusive DLCs.

I really hope they'll make it more available in the future.

If not, I have to question the intelligence of the one in charge over these DLC things, because they'll earn a lot more if they release it to everyone for a small price after a while.

they already received their return of investment on those items, Mass....Gamestop paid them to have them as an exclusive (not like they should not have been in the final product or at least the N7 version of the game but I digress)

Same. I knew that if there was going to be a retailer for ME3, it would be GameStop. It's pretty obvious in fact.

If it does get released later (and that's a pretty damn big if alright), there is a 99.9% chance it will be at a price. Frankly, I don't care if I have to pay. I just want it to be timed-exclusive as it should.

Just another annoying trend that EA and Bioware have embraced so enthusiastically. Naturally we knew it was coming but there was always the hope that the customer would come first and they wouldn't do this crap.

I don't have a choice at where I buy the game, only one retailer in the UK is selling the Collectors edition. So I have to make a choice between getting some bonus gear or getting the collectors edition. I really find it annoying that I am spending £70 on a product and still going to miss out on items and content because of this bull.

No point in complaining though we all know the customer is the least important person in all this after all we only pay their wages.

CD Projekt Red seriously has my business for life after how they handled DLC for The Witcher 2.  It felt so great to buy a game once, not 12 times over the course of a year from various sources.

GameStop is not states exclusive. They are in a lot of European countries too.

The same here. Then add in that some gamemakers can and will later on release the retailer specific DLC in a general release like the Dr. Pepper Mass Effect 2 DLC on a general release on the PS3.

Spoilers, which is why we see the same levels in most of the of the run throughs Bioware does.

I like Bioware games, and feel free to call me an entitled ******, but the marketing for ME3 has been terrible so far.

Better than spoiling everything like they did with ME2's marketing.
