Why do they do this kind of stuff anyway? Everyone should really have access to the retailer exclusive dlc...

I hope It is, I like the look of It.Also I a good defense is a good offense,
Only that "good defence" in ME2 meant "steel box". Or another cover. Tanking build was nonexistent.
Nah, I'm just trying to persuade myself that "grape is too green to eat" because it's unlikely russian retailers will have this=]

I've placed a pre-order for the standard PC edition and PS3 Collector's Edition.

GameStop is not states exclusive. They are in a lot of European countries too.
So are a lot of companies?
Yet the Exclusive stuff with GameStop is always solely in the US/North America..
As far as I know Gamestop preorder bonus works for Europe too. I buy games in Italy, and there was a Gamestop preorder bonus for DA2 (Fadeshear Sword and some Lion Shields) and I took them with the preorder.

They're not stupid enough to do that. You'll get whatever pre-order bonus the store gets from EA/Bioware.Dylia wrote...

If this doesn't become available as downloadable DLC at a decent cost later on, I will break something.
I think it should be a reward in one of the larger future DLCs.
*Looks longingly at the Terminus Armor and weapon*
Don't f***ing count on it.

There's no worse trend in this industry than retail/console exclusive content.
I must concur.
Unfortunately they've got us by the balls and they know it. We've got to have the best (or all) pre-order bonuses so these companies can get away with whatever they want.

As much as people hate it, it's an effective way for retailers to make sales by enticing customers to pre-order from them in exchange for said free items. And it looks like Best Buy is getting in on it as well. Will Amazon and others follow suit? We shall see.

I also wish for a release of all of these preorder incentives in a few months time. Everything except for my beloved CE items should be available at some point, as it really is almost impossible to obtain every last item normally. Last year, I was lucky to have preordered from Gamestop. My terminus and Inferno armor sets are both very enjoyable to use, as is the incisor sniper rifle and the Blackhole projector. CE items, in my humble opinion, should stay exclusive for the sole purpose that they are supposed to be in limited supply.

Yeah, BioWare really screwed the pooch with how it handled the Terminus Armor and Blackstorm after the pre-order period passed, but they were pretty good at getting the other pre-order bonuses out there aside from the Dragon Age one IIRC. Hopefully they'll take a page out of the Arkham City playbook and release all the pre-order stuff in one pack a month or so after the game is released.Nashiktal wrote...
Aw man I hope they release this stuff as buyable DLC later. I am restricted to one store and am incapable of ordering from any other due to certain circumnstances (besides ( already have the CE on preorder.)
Incentive for early purchase? Sure, but I am still missing items from all the preorder (and dr pepper) codes and its driving me crazy. Its not really all that important but the collector rifle seemed really cool and I am sure some people wanted the blackhole gun from gamestop.
Indeed, although I won't hold my breath. Once again BioWare, I will make this known to you, since I did so with ME2. I would love to pay for this content at a later date, provided it is fair value, however should you opt to not provide it, then I shall need to pirate. See the problem here? You're encouraging piracy for PC gamers. Why not sell it to us and make a profit? Sure, I could go the ebay route but those prices become ridiculous fast. The Inferno Armor isn't worth $15. (random example)

EA probably makes GameStop pay a fair chunk of money before letting them have any pre-order bonuses, which helps make up for a bit of the losses incurred by used game sales.didymos1120 wrote...
It's rather weird that EA favors Gamestop with these bonuses, given that Gamestop is their nemesis as far as the used game sales thing goes.

Either way they won't come out on top unless they have a percentage in used game sales which behind the curtains you never know they just might have do to net gross, but that's a whole other topic in the business world. Lucky for me. I bought the amazon CE and I pre-ordered from Gamestop. However, I've got a buddy who is buying the other copy I get from Game stop for a little less than the price of the actual game, but either way I get the DLC and don't loose to much money. However, I guess I'm done for with the best buy pack.
What people didn't really notice was the fact back in ME 2 before the game came out. All DLC was released on the Xbox live market for a couple hours one night. I got lucky and was able to get it. I've enjoyed all the DLC's I've had, but I was kind of upset becaues my buddy didn;t get eh terminus armor and canon which is the best DLC in the game from the pre order pack.
Who knows maybe bioware will end up doing that Midnight release of content again for Me 3 and everyone will get their chance. I would say just keep your eye open and I really hop we do get something for the demo as well. We Me fans have been through two game launches and I think we have earned it.
