Description:  When I try to start a new campaign of the original NWN2 campaign (no mods, hacks, or anything extra added on, purely vanilla), I cannot get past the tutorial. When I click "skip tutorial" it no longer allows me to left click, and when I try to open my journal or rest, the game crashes.  I can enter debugmode before I skip the tutorial, but if I try to enter debugmode after I click "skip tutorial" the game crashes.

I can play through the entire tutorial level with no problems.  But, when I speak to Georg Redfell at the end of the tutorial, the same thing happens as if I were to click "skip tutorial".  When I talk to Georg Redfell I can even see exactly when it starts to screw up, as I can left-click through most of the cutscene, but when he starts to say "Hip Hip, Hooray!" I can no longer click through the cutscene and my left-click becomes disabled.

This occurs every time I try to play the game.  It happens with both custom characters and pre-canned characters.  Here are the things I've tried to do to fix the game, while the problem remains -exactly- the same:
  • Changing the screen resolution
  • Change from Full Screen to Windowed Mode
  • Reinstalling the game entirely
  • Setting the Processor Affinity to only use CPU0
  • Disabling UAC
  • Running in Windows XP SP3 compatability mode
  • Running in Windows Vista SP2 compatability mode
  • Running as an Administrator
  • Starting a new campaign
  • Creating a new character
  • Using a pre-canned character
  • Disabling Shadows
  • Changing the audio from Miles Fast to DIrect X (EAX has never been enabled)
  • Disabling party AI
  • Making sure only the main character was selected
I appreciate any advice or help anyone can give.  I just purchased this game yesterday and have spent the whole time since then attempting to fix the game just so I may play it for the first time.

Thanks in advance,
Dark Fox
