I don't see why there can't be missions like the Suicide Mission.. where you can choose certain squadmates for certain tasks so you actually bring out 4 or 5 on the mission. still having 2 squadmates fighting by your side..

Would this "D3mon Sover3ign" person PLEASE stop posting spoilers? I'm trying to stay completely spoiler free and the dude's ALREADY posted way more than I wanted to know before beating the game.

Pretty much everything i posted spoiler wise was already known by most people that hang around these threads.. Besides.. You can't do anything about what i post. Get over yourself.

Might I add, everyone is in the MassEffect 3 forum. NOT expecting spoilers is just retarded.

Yes, because expecting a non-spoiler Forum to well, NOT contain spoilers is clearly stepping over the line and not just expecting something fair and decent. *eyeroll*

And sure Demon, I'm the one who needs to get over myself when you're blatantly spoiling people who don't want to be spoiled. That's a pretty dick thing to do, so I really don't see how you think acting like a douche gives you a right to talk down to me for no reason when I simply asked nicely for you to stop. A simple "sorry, I thought everyone knew", "I understand what you mean, and I'll stop", or "I get how you feel, but I'm not breaking any rules and people ask for it, so I think I should keep doing it as long as people ask for it" response would've done the trick much better.

Just where does it say ANYWHERE that this is a non-spoiler board?

Getting butthurt about spoilers is probably the most pathetic thing to get butthurt over.

Wait, care to explain to me where the rules, title of the board, or anything else says "Post spoilers here"?

And I fail to see how it's more pathetic to be pissed off at someone for spoiling things for you, than it is to BE the person openly spoiling things for people who don't want to be spoiled. Like, are things REALLY that screwed up, that people can't get the principle of things like that?

Actually, it was Microsoft who leaked the beta. For once, it wasn't EA's fault.

That's no excuse to not blame them.

So if EA gives Microsoft a fragile package and tells them "Don't drop this", and Microsoft drops it, then it's EA's fault? Good logic there, bud.

I didn't realize being straightfoward was acting like a douche. Interesting.  "gives you the right" Excuse me, I can say and type whatever I want. Don't like it? Then do something about it. Otherwise ignore it and it wont be a problem. Anyway, I didn't say anything too spoilerific. Most threads in the mass effect 3 general discussion contain this info anyway. Most character threads contain this info If you're this sensitive to information. Don't come to the forums.

Actually, the more I think about it, the more I'm happy with what's going on with ME2 characters. To me, since the ME1 squad is with you most of the time, it doesn't seem like they have important jobs to do. They're just hanging with you.

If they give the sidelined ME2 squadmates great stories - and a small amount of time being a squadmate for their mission - I'm totally fine with that. Great writing is what is key though. I mean, if someone like Miranda just has a small cameo and goes off and you never hear from her again...yeah, frustration is an acceptable emotion to feel about it. But if their small amount of presence creates a huge impact - I'm totally happy with that. If anything it gives them an even greater importance than the ME1 squad.

You know, you don't have to freak out and get all butthurt over the entire situation that someone just happened to point out how something could have upset and pissed off a bunch of people. I mean, especially when I didn't really do anything wrong there and when most people would be thankful of having someone make that sort of thing aware to them. Frankly, I'd rather not have to set you to Block/Ignore/whatever it's called here, but whatever.

Edit: RE: Demon

You need to understand that its easy to misunderstand text. I'm not freaking out or butthurt.. I'm just being straightforward with you. What I posted is quite common information. If I was a douche "I wouldve posted the secret squad mates on this thread but i didn't give that away. So i still respected people who dont want to get spoiled...

I don't care if you block or ignore me.

Well, as I said, it's fine and whatever since it's ultimately not all that descriptive and I'd imagine you'd have to be pretty bad for some things like that to happen. And I'm not going to block you because that accomplishes nothing but to throw a temper tantrum which I'd rather not do. All I ask is that you please refrain from that stuff again, that's all.

I was under the impression that if you lost someone during the SM that another character from the ME universe might stand in for that dead squad mate in ME3 . . . example ;

Say you lose Garrus in the SM . . . for ME3 (maybe) Captain Gavorn would take his place

Tali dies: Maybe one of the the several Quarians that were introduced in ME2 would take her place

Mordin dies: Malen or Mordin's nephew may take his place

Thane dies: His son possible would fill his place

Miranda dies: maybe her sister would fill in

I think you get my idea, they may not all be permanent squad mates but some one would have to fill certain slots,
such as in one of my ME2 Vanguard plays Mordin did die so in ME3 the mission to save the female Krogan , in which Mordin is part of , I would have to have someone replace him for that mission at least. . .  or will it be a generic character filling his spot. . .?

Well, they could theoretically make things much more difficult by making it so you couldn't rescue the Krogan princess period, couldn't they? Note, I'm just saying in theory here.

I hope so, if you lose a squad mate there should be consequences in the me3 storyline.

Why people insist on being sarcastic on the internet when it requires body language and vocal tone to be fully understood is beyond me.

I stand by my old statement: irritably, we must begin to speak like elcor on the internet to be understood.

So it's supposed to be focused on a more intimate team from what Casey Hudson says, so maybe about 7 or 8 (before DLC characters)?  Just curious if anyone had come across any information on this yet.

Also, if Tali and/or Garrus died in ME2, does that mean their spots are just going to be vacant, or will there be others to replace them?  I only ask because if someone plays it with both of them dead, they're kinda getting the short end of the stick with fewer team members and a less in-depth party experience, which is what Mr. Hudson seems to want to focus on.

Oh, and guys, if it is only 7 or 8 guys, that means we only have about 3 reveals to go (depending on whether or not Tali is a temp member, as a certain DEV suggested to torture all of us)

Here is the thing, you have the opportunity to save them in ME 2 and it is pretty easy so you really can't complain about missing content if they died in ME 2 because it was up to you to save them.

Indeed, anyone who wants the whole squad to make it back in one piece can do so with ease.

I daresay it's almost harder to do it my way, unless you foolishly have no interest in completing the loyalty missions.

Actually, Tali is one of the very weakest squadmates during SM

You could easily lose folk like Mordin or Tali if they were part of the team that held the rear guard at the end if you didn't also leave behind more sturdy squad members like Zaeed or Grunt for whatever reason. It's about the only part of the level where there's actual room for casualities without the player picking entirely the wrong people for a given task.

This. Also, she's tied with Jack for weakest.

And Mordin and Kasumi.  All have a score of 0 if non-loyal, and 1 if loyal.
