Stuck at West Harbor. Idiotic Georg won't do initiate a cut-scene

I'm at the very beginning where West Harbor is Under Siege. I'm supposed to get the militia and meet the Georg guy at the farm. So I do that, and then I fight 2 waves of dwarves. And then nothing. Everyone just stands around. I ran around looked everywhere, some wizard tells me to check out his house and steal his stuff which I did and I talked to the girl from my group and she just stands there and I talk to Georg again and he just stands there and nothing is happening. What do I do?

There is a west harbor walk through here. If you have completed the waves then there should have been a cutscene initiated about the Starling house. If that didn't happen then start over and see if it happens. Make sure you are controlling your main PC during the battles.

This does not assist at all. I have retried multiple times. The first wave is defeated then nothing happens. Is it possible to force the event/script for the next wave to happen? If so how - what script to run etc.

One thing that I did try was to remove a mod that caused bodies to last longer and more gore to be on screen. I disabled it and I think that helped.
