One person, and you're extrapolating whole genocide scenarios from this?darth_lopez wrote...
Oh no no, on this part i'm entirely there is at least one nord who says it would be a good idea to round them up and kill'em all of that i'm sure.
The Elder Scrolls Games are the prequels to Dragon Age Origins. Or at least Skyrim is...

Great story, bro.
Hundred of years of fighting the elves alone in one weekend.
That pretty much sums up my Xmas weekend

I love free thinking and discussing possibilities, but this doesn't make sense. One aspect of the title that really throws the subject off kilter, is saying "Elder Scrolls games are prequels to Dragon Age". I guess had you made the distinction in your title to that of your post, where you are fantasizing such to make comparisons, would have helped instead of an actual intertwining of the themes in some literal sense.
Changing the title from "are the prequels" to "could have been", would have been plausible. Then again, even trying to overarch two completely and disparate game universes just hurts my head.

You do know Elder Scrolls dwarves are actually elves, right?
Right?
That's not a fact. Only in some belief in the game lore is that true. Read Aldmeris and The Annuad.
On a side note, I find it a bummer, that when someone starts a thread that may not be agreeable to others, that those others go on to deride and demean the topic and idea, while calling on it to be locked out. I would like to think you wouldn't want you imaginations in gaming that you'd post here, incur the same ridicule.

@Tommy you are correct in that could have been would be better in general ^^
@Addais
I'm fairly certain this is an idea expressed by more than 1 NPC and in more han just Windhelm. But yes I extrapolate a Genocide situation after Hundreds of years growing nord hatred.

I've never heard anyone say that. I'm only taking your word that anyone does at all.darth_lopez wrote...

The Nords' anger is directed at the Thalmor and, for the Stormcloaks, against the empire. They aren't any more racist than any of the other races in Tamriel.

Yes, it is a fact undisputably.

another fun fact however is that Orcs are also now a type of elf from my understanding >.> Though i'll listen to tommy and read aldmeris and The Annuad perhaps they are on to something (as i recall those books are in the possession of both of my 2 70 hours each characters xD)

Aldmeris isn't a book and the Anuad states that the dwarves are elves. So, I don't know what Tommy's talking about.
Orcs are also elves. That's why you get the freakin' quest where you collect the elven blood samples!

yes i was agreeing on the Orks, i also agree that Dwemer are elves as well i don't dissagree just considering her/his point of view. I'm still going to actually read the Annuad and i'll double check on Aldmeris cause the Title sounds remotely familiar honestly. To UESP once again!

And there are a few different races of Men? I don't see this as any big difference from Tolkien lore where you have the Vanyar, Noldor, Sindar and the theory that orcs are corrupted elves. The only thing different is that TES dwarves are also Mer. edit- In fact, in early renderings the Noldor, Deep Elves, were called gnomes and they are dwarf-like in their culture, so very similar to Dwemer.mrcrusty wrote...
