Now I am done ranting on that, what are some achievements you feel border on the ridiculousness.

Haha, the only reason I got that RDR achievement is because I was always got too attached to the damn horses.MrDizaztar wrote...
Will going back and finishing up Red Dead Redemption, I have came across one of the most ridiculously stupid achievement. The achievement that is making my blood boil is called "Spurred to Victory." To obtain it, you must complete 20 story missions without switching to a new horse at a hitching post. However, the achievement is so vague on what resets the count and if you can still ride other horses or not. Not to mention, the horse AI ranges from the stupid to the straight up suicidal, making the achievement harder than it has to be.

The achievements I hated the most were in TC: Rainbow Six Vegas 2, half of the online ones were getting x amount of kills with x weapon, which doesn't sound too bad until you see that 6 players need to be present in order to get it. It would've probably been doable if people actually played the damn game.

I typically would classify most multiplayer achievements to suck anyways.JRCHOharry wrote...

Worst part, if someone finds him, he moves. It's a scavenger hunt from hell. Finding him once takes hours and that's if he doesn't move from some poor soul like yourself trying to get the achievement.

I was like that too with the horse Bonnie gives you, until a pack of wolves took me out. Then I go out and buy the deed for the horse and yet no achievement. Also I really hate thieves landing.J0HNL3I wrote...
anything to do with multiplayer and ones like kill 10,0000,0000 people over all game modes/ones where you can only get it by blind luck. also OP i got that acheivment on RDR because i get attached stuppid things like characters horses and cool side characters

Anything like "Complete Mage Tower" how is that an achievement? Now something like complete an Origin on Nightmare without falling once would be much better. I like achievements to actually be difficult to obtain and not something you'd get just by playing normally.
So... not DA2's "switch the map from day to night?"
i hate achievements that don't stack, for example, you beat a game on a hard setting, but you don't unlock the normal or easy completion achievements. While, yes, technically I didn't play the game on easy, come on.
Deadly Premonition did this. Loved that game, but having to play through it three times is unnecessary.

Assassins Creed's "Collect pointlessly hidden flags" achievement. A literal waste of time. Who's putting these around the cities, anyways?

Scavenger hunts across the entire game; Uncharted 3 was an amazing game, but I would've enjoyed it much more if I weren't checking around every corner, behind every rock, up the chimney, on the moon, behind my ear, etc, looking for treasures. Fudge you, Naughty Dog! Sideways!

I hate multiplayer achievements (I don't play multiplayer unless I know the other players personally).
I hate luck based achievements (Space Ponies? Really?).
I hate achievements that you unlock for doing basic things like completing the tutorial.
I hate secret achievements.
Those are the big ones. There are others on an individual basis, but those are the categories that they usually fall into.

lol those are the only type of acheivements I get because I don't like them in general.
Though the ones that really grinds my gears are the ones when you start up the game.
I didn't need a moral booster for pressing start lol.

Catching the Batarang in Arkham City. Wow. Why not have Batman roll over, sit up, and bark...
Its much cooler to throw it at Azreal and have him catch it instead.
Besides its not like you make Batman catch it he does it automatically I guess if he did roll over sit up and bark automatically someone forced him to do it
Also wtf catching a batarang is degrading him or something?
