I scoured the internet, and I can't find a working solution to this one issue, so I'm throwing myself upon the masses for help.
I'm attempting to run the Dragon Age 2 (from what came in-box to v1.03), and I keep hitting the MSVCR80.dll problem whenever I run DragonAge2.exe (main game file).
I'm using a NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT video (now updated to 285.62), and running it in an Intel Core2 Duo CPU T9550 at minimum settings.
I've updated .NET, C++, and DirectX (trying both 9 and 11). I re-installed the game, configured, disabled, uninstalled and then reinstalled firewalls/security systems, and nothing worked.
Thanks in advance!
MSVCR80.dll, the horror continues!

There are no "masses" left here. Most everyone left the place last April or May, and never came back. Since last June, only the Off Topic forum had much message traffic, until the ME-3 forums got started. Those were fairly busy this fall.
Instead of a "blind Google", add a redirector to send it into these forums:

msvcr80 is a C++ library.

Dl and install from link SHOULD fix the issue, if not drop back your video driver to probably 258ish and try again.
