John (Paragade: Spacer/Sole Survivor) considers every member of his crew to be family, expecially after what they went through togeather in ME1 and ME2. Even so, his relationship difffers from charecter to charecter
Lover
Tali: Formerly in best friend category, ME1 and ME2 constantly spent time talking to her due to shared interest in tech and ships (RPed since John grew up and ships and took electronics as bonus power in ME1). Had feeling for her for a long time, but did not act upon those emotions until much later due to thinking it would not work out due to their differing races (ironically mirroring Tali's feelings)
BFF
Garrus: Best friend relationship through and through. Out of his entire crew Garrus is the one he feels he can always count on to watch his back and give his honest/blunt opinion on a given situation or decision John makes.
Joker: Sees him as a annoying younger brother you can't help liking.
Liara: Former lover, had a falling out as a result of John being dead fortwo years and Liara's change in personality (more cold, bitter, and ruthless). Reconciled in LotSB and trusts Liara immensely.
Friends:
Thane: Sees him as sort of a wise religious uncle... who knows how to and probably can kill him in a hundred different ways with his bare-hands
Kasumi: One of crew he gets along with particularly well with, and enjoys chatting with her. (She also gives relationship good advice
Kaidan: Currently irrationally angry and bitter in relation to him as a result of the encounter on Horizon (will likely get over it in ME3)
Miranda: Sees her kinda like a Sister who he always argues with and and rarely sees eye to eye. Still he does trust her and has no idea how things would run as smoothly as they do without her help (she handles most of the logistics side of things on the ship).
Jack: Sees her life as very tragic, and tries his best to help her come to terms with and overcome her past.
Mentor
Anderson
Wrex: Looks up to Wrex for trying his best to help him people, even if he as to proverbially drag them kicking and screaming to do it. Wrex also is a wealth of advice, especially when it comes to combat.
Hero
Ashley: For sacrificing herself during the Vermire missions, and during which telling Shepard to rescue Kaidan when knowing full well it would mean her death
Mordin: For despite all the he has done concerning the genophage, in the end he chose to spare Maelon's life and now work to atone for his actions.
