If I could remember, didn't Bioware say there would be a new fighter class in ME3?
I don't think so. The class in ME3 will be Soldier, Sentinel, Vanguard, Infiltrator, Adept and Engineer, with the squadmates's classes that will resemble those six.

The "new love interest" is Ashley Williams. Bioware just gave her a full makeover....redesign and that stuff.
There is no new LI in the squad for a straight male Shep. Vega will be a new LI, for both femshep and maleshep. There are two other new LI, but I don't know for which type of Shep.
Plus, the thread is about the new female character, not the new LI.

No, that was just a misunderstanding/mistranslated text in a magazine.

The two additional LI's you mentioned - one male and one female - are gay-exclusive and lesbian-exclusive, respectively. Neither are new or former squadmates.hhh89 wrote...

On another level I can understand it as it's bioware's way of noticing that some fans are homosexual so I guess it's a homage or something. Still it's a little weird, I've never come across a game before with strictly homosexual characters. are they the new pilots? One's a pilot right?

Thats a bit odd. why are they only gay and lesbian exclusive? I thought bioware was big on 'choice'? shouldn't you be able to romance them like you can for ashley and kaidan in ME1?

Well some people weren't overly thrilled with DAO2's lets make everyone bi or hawke-sexual, plus maybe they wanted a non asari s/s romance, a character that is actually a gay man or a lesbian woman and always were, they identified this way before meeting your character.

Little off-topic: I like how player choice always seem to impose on what characters' want. Aveline was refreshing when it came to being unromance-able in da2. Maybe vinny and new female character should be the ones dating each other.

Lol, Dude, if they are are strictly homosexual than I hope they don't go overboard (princess guy, butch girl) to express that they are available to your same sex Shepard.

The male is very much your average, normal man, and the female is pretty much the dresses and lipstick type of lesbian, so yeah, your fears are unfounded.XEternalXDreamsX wrote...

That's good!
Edit -
Yea, I had a drink with the doc, left her on the table when I was done and stumbled out the Med area to realize the entire crew that was eating saw my "deed" was done...but ..it was worth it.

Wait, I'm confused all over again. We're getting Vega, a character from ME1, the super secret character, and then another female character? Who's that other female character? Has vega and this other woman confirmed to be gay or is it speculation?
The new female LI isn't a squad member you can take on mission i believe.
I won't spoil it, someone earliar did for me and I couldn't resist looking up the name and while I'm quite happy with her as a character, that surprise is pretty important.

the answer is No
haha.. I like how "sexual orientation and are they date-able" is on the mind of most people here when it comes to new characters. I say that in an amusing way not irritation. Bioware would do very well if they made a dating game.

You do have a point, for eg in skyrim I couldn't bring myself to care about the characters in that game as much as I love to spend countless hours exploring it. Thats biowares genius they manage to make me care more about the story and the character so much, I want to know more about them, I look forward to seeing more about them in dlc or sequels.

There are two non-squadmate LI, s/s exclusive. I read that Vega will be a bi character, but I'm not sure. Though I think he'll be, so he'll be the male counterpart of Liara, the only other bi squadmate.

Make sense, We only have Adept, Soldier, Engineer, Vanguard, Sentinel, Infiltrator.
And now we need Sweeper, Striker, Dribbler and Defender class. (Sounds good)
