The two new non-squad member LI's are pretty certain.

In a way it's like bioware saw how some people would of prefered the non-squad member kelly as a LI, so they decided to give us someone who doesn't go out fighting with us, yet will be an actually recognized romance by the game.

Thats a bit odd. why are they only gay and lesbian exclusive? I thought bioware was big on 'choice'? shouldn't you be able to romance them like you can for ashley and kaidan in ME1?

On another level I can understand it as it's bioware's way of noticing that some fans are homosexual so I guess it's a homage or something. Still it's a little weird, I've never come across a game before with strictly homosexual characters.

Everyone being bisexual is not very realistic.

I didn't mean it like that. And yeah everyone being bisexual would be unrealistic and a little creepy in my opinion. I have nothing against homosexual people and I hope my post didn't offend anyone. 
to the other guy who talked about DA2, yeah thats kind of my point. I think developers sometimes try to be too 'modern' with their games you know.

I know stuff like wow lets you be whatever you want but I don't want it to be overly obvious or in my face. granted two character who are strictly gay isn't in your face but it's still a bit weird for me. The asari being all female and everything was obviously fan service. I mean blue chicks who can have sex with anyone and everything, pretty much the daydream of every male nerd no?

I just want games to be normal you know? Games are about escapism not realism.  I don't want my shepard to be confronting some moral issue from the real world-like racism and stuff too much.  I just want to have some fun some times. Still, dow e know the names of these character yet? I hope their interesting and not stereotypical. i.e really camp for the guy and lipstick feminist lesbian for the girl. I wouldn't like that, like some one above said let them just be normal people with normal lives imo.

My point: no in your face real world social issue please Bioware. It's bad enough in the real world already, don't want to spoil a great game. I hope none of this has caused offence and if it has- I apologise.

Trust me, they won't be dealing with 'real world issues with homosexuality' as they never ever do when they have characters that are open for s/s romance.

Yeah, even at a gay bar, too many people for my liking will assume you are just the straight friend that got dragged along if you don't scream lesbian in your appearance.

Edit: but I got alittle off track there, if these characters turn out to be as decent as they appear, I should of kept a single shep in my playthroughs just in case. *shrugs* I love the games enough and gives me something to do while waiting for march to roll around.

Especially since after I read the original spoiler about the sexbot I was like "no way that's real, the poster just wrote that for a laugh" but people weren't accusing him of being silly and I had to read on...

I hope your right. If they don't do deal with it then I will release a sigh of relief but if not well I just hope they don't anything that will make me squirm 'shudders'. The last thing we need is a character going emo on us or something. Though it would be funny to see either Mordin or Legion saying "we're all dooomed! Doomed I tell you". 

Or just break down and have a little cry. That would make me laugh but they probably won't do something like that. it all be very serious and straight faced, Shep's has to be manly after all. 

I wonder if they will do an in game April fool's joke? hmm, would be interesting.
