I got DA:O a while ago. I installed it onto an external drive while using another computer, and now I have a new computer, using the same external drive. I get the error that PhysXloader.dll is missing. I cannot uninstall the game, and thus cannot reinstall it.

I have no idea what video/graphics card I have. Some Intel HD family thing is all the info I can find. i3. I have a Toshiba Satellite L755.

How do I get this file that I need? If through reinstalling, how do I do that?

Edit: I also cannot update through a downloaded patch. If the menu is up, it says DA:O is running and it cannot patch it. If it is not open, then it says it cannot find the game.

Windows XP Minimum Specifications
OS: Windows XP with SP3
CPU: Intel Core 2 Single (or equivalent) running at 1.6Ghz or greater
AMD 64 (or equivalent) running at 2.0Ghz or greater
RAM: 1 GB or more
DVD ROM (Physical copy)
20 GB HD space
Video Card: ATI Radeon X850 256MB or greater (this is clearly wrong)
NVIDIA GeForce "6600 GT" 128MB or greater (and this one is more wrong)

(Note: IMO, the practical choices for the two video cards above should be the Radeon X800 Pro, and the Geforce 6800 GS, at least, for small textures - it will take a Radeon X1650 XT (or X1800 GTO, same thing, almost) for medium or better textures)

INTEL'S GARBAGE (Video Chip) IS REALLY NOT SUPPORTED, sorry

2 issues other than the crappy vid card.

1) If you haven't installed it on your computer, rather than just transferring on the ext-HD, then there aren't any notes in the registry which is basically the road-map programs and the op system uses to find things. So no install means you can't really use the game.

2) By not installing the game, you also miss other things that are added to your base system that are needed by the program to work, as an example, programs will install a DX9 if they need it and you don't currently have it .

You may get it to work by removing it from the HD and then reinstalling it on your new comp.....maybe....if you are lucky.

Thanks for the suggestions, I did end up solving my problem. I began installing the game on my computer, and that installed the required file. Once I connected the external drive it stopped installing, and everything works fine.
