Funny how most of the people who find Tali useless seem to be people who otherwise dislike her. Coincidence? I doubt it.

Anyway, she wasn't all that useful in ME2 until you got the Firepower Pack. That Geth Plasma Shotgun was amazing; with it, she managed to do more weapon damage for me than practically any other squadmate.

Eh I'm neutral on Tali and I thought she was pretty suckage. Only person I found more useless than her was Jack really.

Least used character in ME2 was Jack. Same for Samara. I think mixed biotics are more useful.

All of the "pure" biotic ME2 characters got nerfed royally on higher difficulties when enemy protections come into play (thank god that appears to have been fixed in ME3).

Is there footage or a mention of this somewhere?

Maybe he's referring to Warp that could be upgraded and damage shield an (in a better ways) armor.

Least used character was Jack. I could only use her well on Veteran and high where there were a lot of husks with my Adept character. But then I drag Garrus EVERYWHERE just because. :) makes insanity so much more... um... insane. ;)

Yeah. It depends on WHERE and WHEN you put your squadmates in cover.

Sitting in the same spot will ultimately get everyone killed.

When the Combat Drones distracts, I'm relocating. When the Flashbang goes off and stuns everyone, I'm relocating.

If you want your squadmates to survive, well, make them do so. When a squadmate survives because of the sheer amount of hitpoints, I think that's a bad design, because it doesn't make the squadmates smarter to avoid hazards in the first place, it just makes them harder to kill.

Not to mention that most of the characters in ME2 were horribly balanced in terms of powers.

You're just being Mr. Butthurt that your waifu sucks ass at combat no matter where she is. I and Garrus always advance forward and take the flanks while Tali sits behind spamming combat drones. And she still dies due to her bumrushing the enemies or some random flanking enemy Garrus or I didnt take down. And they have AUTOMATIC weapons.

You just suck miserably at reading.

I would've liked Tali a lot more if she was actually remotely useful in combat. Snort at your last part. The GPS didn't do anything for her, she still kept dying. Have you SEEN Zaeed's disruptor ammo incisor paired with Miranda's damage bonus? NOTHING, NOTHING, can top Zaeed's DPS with that setup.

Well, then my advice to you is to learn to play the game better, because I had no problems with Tali dying. On my last playthtrough (on insanity, btw) I brought her more than anyone else and had no issues.

Neat. I hope the other biotics get hybrid damage upgrades.

Biotics are still very powerful on insanity, but more tricky to use and those that neither can strip or ragdoll (shockwave, throw), becomes quite weak. Warpbombing is just devastating.

Judging by these two very different experiences, Tali seems to be very much like Tinkerbell!

The less you believe in her, the weaker she becomes. And if you stop believing entirely......DEATH!!!!!

Agreed, I especially loved the Singularity-Warp combo. A shame that Samara didn't have that power.

was more a case you do something for me and i'll help you out i'm looking forward to having a smaller team in me3 should be good

Except for Kasumi's Shadow Strike, which does more damage than Overload and Warp combined.

Jack is a beast on Insanity. Her cooldown is ridiculous and she get +25% damage with her upgrade. People just don't know how to use her.

Put her all the way in the back, switch out to heavy pistol, and spam Heavy Shockwave. All you have to do is strip protections with the your Assault Rifle/Overload/Warp/Incinerate

I use every character from time to time. I never had the problem of tali dying. I send the shot gun squad mates forward if its not a very high difficulty. I usually play as soldier of Adept. So I found tali's drone very usefull specially vs toughest targets. I used legion a lot too after he's available.

Out of vague.... alright, morbid curiousity, you are how old exactly?

That's okay, keep up your denial. Fact is, Tali is far from useless in ME2, no matter if you're capable of using her correctly or not.

And I'm certainly looking forward to seeing how useful in combat she is as part of my ME3 squad.
