What theme would you want to see Bioware bring to life in their next  series(provided they don't go sequel/prequel heavy and wear the current ip's out)? They have already tackled Sci-fi and Fantasy. Now they are doing real world based game with C&C, which from what I gather from the gaming community is a big let down. What should be next?

I personally would like to see Bioware takle the ancient Greek or Roman times. A game full of Greek Mythology, Gods, Goddesses, Mythological Creatures, Wars, and so on. The overall story and characters are all there.  All it needs is a Bioware spin on things, a well developed and original story, character creation of course, and a non-linear gameplay style that changes with your actions.

Steam-punk setting tackling issues/themes of individual freedom vs need for human connection would really work for me.

I've always wanted them to do a Blade Runner game.

They will be making DA and ME games for a long time now, I'm pretty sure of it.

Another Jade Empire would be good. I would like a Dystopian Cyberpunk RPG or a Feudal Japan/Samurai RPG.

A realistic RPG set in the early industrial age. No embellshment just a historically accurate portrayal of low income people trying to survive. The horror of it would shock many.

I would like them to try maybe a Hindi or Native American or even Egyptian based fantasy RPG.

I can live with that. Just as  long as main char is not Sherlock/Quatermass taking the beast out with an steam powered lazor pistol.

A conflict between people where there's no evil, but simply dealing in a harsh setting where it is impossible for one side to fully survive due to resource limitations.

I don't know really. The kind you suggested has been covered in many games going back to the early 80s. Soemthing more modern maybe. I like Lobi's idea a lot. Considering her timeline, being able to create a ruthless capitalistic society where robber barons rule to one where you can force Marxism on the masses would be cool. The possiblities are endless there. I just don't know how well that would take to mainstream gamers.

I'd like the idea of playing a Robespierre type character.

How about a game set in an actual time in history? Early modern era might be appropriate.

In all seriousness, I hope to see my most awesome idea of a Victorian horror RPG take root in a dev's mind. I truly believe a game would be the ideal medium for a fantastic story set in Victorian England where the scientific revolution rubs shoulders with the dark side, and you the player are a supernatural investigator/monster hunter.

We all know that eventually they're going to bow to pressure and make a dating sim, somebody is bound to put two and two together eventually and realise that there's a profit there. If you listen carefully you can hear the squeeing echoing from the future.

I was initially tempted to start a poll to see if this grim reality might in fact come true, but then I'm reminded of old Ebenezer wiping away the dust from his own gravestone, and I've decided to leave well enough alone.

I'd like to see them tackle a world that had a blend of magic and technology like the game Arcanum.  That had a really good blend of both styles at the same time creating a rift in the game world about the pros and cons of each.

Anyone knows who owns the rights to the Planescape setting?
