Recently, whenever I start NWN, the screen continuously flickers in horizontal bands. When I restart my computer and start the game again, the issue is usually fixed, but I started a new game of SOU last night and I couldn't see the opening movie. I had to click around before I could actually see the game itself.

I have reinstalled and repatched the game to 1.69, but this has not solved the problem. I used to play NWN on this computer (Windows XP) without any problems, but it has been a while since I last played. I do have some player-made modules installed, but I can't remember which one I installed most recently. I don't want to just start randomly deleting things, so I was hoping someone could tell me where the most likely culprit would be.

Thank you in advance for any help!

It sounds more like a hardware problem then anything to do with nwn.

From the E7400 I am guessing that it is a dell.    I would sugest that you try running the Dell™ 32-bit Diagnostics Utility and focus the run on anything that has to do with your display and video card.

Unfortunately, I don't have a Dell or any other type of "brand name" computer. I do think you are correct that it might have something to do with the processor. My dad bought it for me for Christmas last year, and it has been about a year since I last played NWN. I've been able to play other games since then without having problems, but it's the only recent addition I can think of. Are there any known issues with this kind of processor and NWN?

Thank you very much, again, for putting up with all of my questions.
