 I did the quest where I obtained the Heartwood for Wade last out of the story quests in Awakening, and now I'm in a situation where I didn't bring a Grandmaster Lightning Rune with me, no one in my party has Master Runecrafting to make one, and I'm about to lose access to Wade because the final mission is coming up. Is there any way to get extra skill points (Tomes of Skill and Sundry or some such) so I can finish this quest? Failing that, how about a merchant I haven't found yet who sells Grandmaster Lightning Runes?

You should have been able to get Grandmaster Lightning rune recipe from Yuriah's first upgrade. For the record, I was never able to get the 2nd and 3rd Yuriah upgrades-it must be a undeclared bug. There are no books in Awakenings-it's a must to import them in. Same with Grandmaster runes-you never know if you can get the recipes in Awakenings-I import all I can bring in. There's a item in Awakenings that will let you reassign your skills, but I forget the name.

I know I can get the recipe, but the problem is that no one in my party has Master Runecrafting, so no one can use the recipe.

Does anyone know the name and location of the item Mike Smith mentioned?

It's Manual of Focus-you can buy it in Herren's shop for 6 gold. I loaded an old save.
