Hmm,
I am running Toolset on 64 bit win XP and am getting this particular error with every lightmap I am trying to render.
I am wondering if this has anyhting to do with Engine.dll getting stuck during install and me having to register it manually. The question is which one of the regsvr32 exe to use :
C:\\\\WINDOWS\\\\system32\\\\Regsvr32.exe or
C:\\\\windows\\\\syswow64\\\\Regsvr32.exe ?
My Pythin is 2.5 and it all looks rather peculiar :

Do you still get the GFF errors on the second render? The atlas part is fine, those always come up on the first time.

Yes. I do. I can also diagnose that map was not created as I see that there is no shadow thrown off my barrel prop -- and when I try to do ALL LOCAL POSTS it turns out this:

I am pretty sure now that the issue is not python but Engine.dll refusing to register. I reinstalled all for the third time going back to ActivePython 2.5.4.4 - and there is no change in the behavior - lightmaps cannot be rendered and the same error message about 'make sure Engine'dll is registered' poips up. Can somebody find Endine.dll entry in their registry and post it here? My problem is that manual register regsvr32 "....\\Engine.dll" on my system fails with no error message - and no message at all...

I installed under 64bit win 7 and had none of these issues. I'd uninstall everything from the programs menu, restore your system to a state before you started fuddling with reg edit, and start from scratch.
By the looks of it from http://social.biowar.../8/index/118792 the DA:Tools install process failed and didn't give you the appropriate error message... or something... something is broken. :\\
