Hi,
I'm running Mass Effect 2, digital download from Steam. My system is compatible and I've had no problems in-game.
I'm running Windows 7 32-bit. Today I got a new hdd and did right click > properties > location to move C > User > Documents to D > User > Documents. Windows accepts this and defaults to D now for Documents. However, Mass Effect 2 won't register my save files anymore.
I tried coping the folder from D > User > Documents > Bioware to C > User > Documents > Bioware, back where it was originally. It still won't recognise my save file and is prompting me to start a new game instead of loading/resuming.
Do you have any idea how I can get ME2 to recognise my save files? I've tried the config utillity but that will only allow me to find ME1 files and I've already done that.

For whatever reason Mass Effect doesn't like to use any location other than the stock one. So if you have a new HDD, then you MAY try a reinstall of ME and see if it fits. But usually ME only accepts the default install location of documents ie C>user>Documents

You can also look through the Tech FAQ at the top of this forum. It has some hints on how to get it to recognise non-standard locations for My Documents.
