Who says Asari have both sexual organs though?

Yeah. The Asari are female. Their partners don't actually donate anything, they "borrow" their code, randomize it, and make another Asari baby. How that makes them not female just because their partner is another Asari confuses me.

Wait, so there are no gametes? No sexual organs? No sexual reproduction? So, by definition they are not female. I win.

I still can't see how their process of reproduction being different makes them any less female.

What?

You don't have to reproduce sexually to be female. That said the Asari do reproduce via this

http://en.wikipedia....Parthenogenesis

according to the codex anyway.

Well, I'm home sick with the flu, so I decided to play a bit ME2, and nowhere in the Asari or Quarian entries do they use the word woman, women, or any variation thereof, only female. And then only to the Asari.

Have you seen MJs face? Thats MJ right there. Jack has a decent face but her body could easily be a guy`s and no one would notice.

Usually people who undergo gender reassignment refer to themselves as their designated sex prior to any procedures, and since there really can't be any confirmation, its pretty open to interpretation.

Well, Miranda is modeled after her va Yvonne, and I doubt anyone thinks she looks "manly." And Jack looks like a man because she has small breasts? Have you seen a woman before? Not a chicken woman, but a human one?

A lot of people think Miranda look manly. The translation didnt work well. Jack has a disgusting body for a female. Simple as that. Seriously, how can you tell the difference?

How can I tell the difference? She's the one that looks and acts like a woman and not like a kid. Simple.

female
In organisms that reproduce sexually, being the gamete that is larger
and less motile than the other corresponding gamete (the male gamete) of
the same species. The egg cells of higher animals and plants are female
gametes.2. Possessing or being a
structure that produces only female gametes. The ovaries of humans are
female reproductive organs. Female flowers possess only carpels and no
stamens.3. Having the genitalia or other structures typical of a female organism. Worker ants are female but sterile.

No DNA is taken from the partner, but is rather used as a "map" to randomize the genes of the offspring.

The ova are defined as the larger gametes in a heterogamous reproduction system, while the smaller, usually motile gamete, the spermatozoon, is produced by the male. A female individual cannot reproduce sexually without access to the gametes of a male (an exception is parthenogenesis). Some organisms can reproduce both sexually and asexually.

There is no single genetic mechanism behind sex differences in different species and the existence of two sexes seems to have evolved multiple times independently in different evolutionary lineages. Patterns of sexual reproduction include

isogamous species with two or more mating types with gametes of identical form and behavior (but different at the molecular level),
anisogamous species with gametes of male and female types,
oogamous species in which the female gamete is very much larger than the male and has no ability to move. There is an argument that this pattern was driven by the physical constraints on the mechanisms by which two gametes get together as required for sexual reproduction.[1]

Other than the defining difference in the type of gamete produced, differences between males and females in one lineage cannot always be predicted by differences in another. The concept is not limited to animals; egg cells are produced by chytrids, diatoms, water moulds and land plants, among others. In land plants, female and male designate not only the egg- and sperm-producing organisms and structures, but also the structures of the sporophytes that give rise to male and female plants.

We are talking about a species that has one means of reproduction and any member can do it. They have only one gender, and seeing as how female is one of at least 2 types, then Asari are not female. Nor do they fit the definition. Besides, Casey Hudson confirmed it.

Also where did you get the no sexual organs from? I'd assume they have something similar to ovaries since you know...they do have breasts and the babies gotta come from somewhere. Probably the vag since they have belly buttons.

Why would they have sexual organs if they only reproduce through mind ****ing? They obviously have somthing for giving birth, but is that the same for becoming pregnant? I doubt it.

Read what I posted.
A species with one means of reproduction, where any member can reproduce with any member. That is not female because female is one of at least 2 genders.

Why are we debating sexual context when this is a clear linguistics issue? Asari are female, but not women.

The asari would have their own word for it which due to us lacking an asari dictionary will probably never know, although its probably just simply asari.

Here let me see if I can make some context...

Man is a gender neutral term for human. I.E mankind, human being, or person but has recently (relatively speaking) has been used to refer to a male human (Made so because of the term Woman as I will explain in a minute).

Woman using etymology comes from wifman (which means a "wife" man, which eventually changed to "Wo"man, which thus means female human being).

For reference sake Human means (in layman terms) belonging to man.

Asari are not human, not belonging to the group known as man, and thus are not woman. They are the asari equivalent and for humans to define them (and not use taxonomy) we would have to invent a new word or borrow the asari's word for however they refer to their own species.

The Asari likely don't have a vag based on how they reproduce. That's bloody disgusting(as if the tentacle heads weren't enough).
