Greetings community.
I want to change my ME2 face for the coming ME 3, and I prefer ME1 faces, but I don't want to replay them both since I already have a "perfect" savegame ready for ME3, basically I want to port a new save just for the face, to then copy the face code from the save editor to my endgame save.
What I did was using ME1 console to go at the end of the game just to kill saren with the supergun, but when I import that character to ME2 the screen go black after the opening cinematic, the problem being most likely on some flag, after some meddling around I pinpointed the black screen starting on the sequence of [ME1 romance option] running to shepard cabine after the normandy is hit by the collector ship.
figured porting out from before even talking to nyhlus could be the cause, so I played out the prologue up to talking to the council and did the console port at the endgame again, but again in ME2 the screen go black after the opening cinematic.
So, to my topic name and question, anyone know what's the absolutely required amount of stuff I have to do in order to be able to port to ME2 up to a point where I can save to get the face code?
With console use, of course.
Least amount of playing needed before being able to port to ME 2 for just a face change

Thank you.
Unfurtonately, while it's a nice informative link, it doesn't help with the problem I'm having, since I'm getting the black screen before I get to the point where I can save the character in ME2 to then manipulate it with gibbed save editor.

Easiest way is to start a clean new character in ME2, and THEN use gibbed editor to make your choices as you want.

That way you get working save and the choices you wanted from ME1.
