Since that Google search already has this thread as the top page I'll answer this again.

You can't register ME1. The old forums have been taken offline.

You know, you just could have told the guy that registrations do not work and if he needs some help, he should turn to help.ea.com.

More important than anything else is the truly huge count of the same question having been asked far too often, given the (IMO) apparent selfish ignorance of the typical new arrival.

You realise you don't have to respond in such a sarcastic and obnoxious manner that you will make every new person want to never come back. You probably don't know, but the link for the 'register game' on ME1 from Steam sends you directly here. Now clearly they probably haven't been here before, so log on and see they are in a forum, and think they will ask the people for help.

Instead they get you going along every post about registration hurling sarcasm and self-given purpose to ensure they don't recieve any of the help they are after.

When you answer and see the same question it seems hundreds of times, it is really hard NOT to get sarcastic and obnoxious. I have found myself even getting that way, and I haven't been answering near as long as Gorath and Bogs. I even have to take breaks away from answering to keep my sanity and forehead(from pounding desk) safe.

Then perhaps you should take that up with Steam, as it is deliberate misinformation from them, rather than trying to chastise BSN members. Have a look on the last few pages of the forums, and you will see the same question has been asked numerous times. If people cant be bothered doing a simple forum search, or even looknig through the first 5pages, then they can expect to be dealt with in such a manner.

Does this mean that there is no longer a way for mass effect owners on steam to aquire bring down the sky?

Using your eyes and reading is always a good place to start when needing help and looking on forums.
