I'll preorder whichever limited edition they release. I refuse to pay for shipping, however, and I'm not going to the store to pick it up, so I won't actually get it until a week or so after release.

I wonder if they're going to have a proper collector's edition this time. It's kind of odd that DA2 only had that fart of a limited-production package; did they really think so little of it, even back then?

No. I'll wait a couple of weeks to see the reviews from users and critics. I might not buy it at all if I have to install it using Origins.

No way. They'd have to release some amazing info and follow it up with amazing demonstrations of the game in action for me to buy it at launch. After DA2, I'm not buying into any of their marketing BS cause thats all it was for DA2.

This goes for me too.

Same here.

I will be purchasing the Collector's edition of DA3 if they have one, just like I did with BG2, DAO and DA2. I will be pre-ordering.

I'll be there day one with whatever Collector's Edition/Signature Edition they offer. Completely loved both Origins and DA 2 and I adore the universe. I already read the first novel and I'm working on the second. Can't wait to get around to book three and check out the animation film and digital comic book.

Depends what I see. If it's Hawke again, no, if it's a new character, perhaps. If the game play is mindlessly boring as Dragon Age 2, no, if it resembles more of DA:O and the talents and abilities look more interesting yes. It depends, if it looks like more of the same in regards to Dragon Age 2, I will not think twice about not buying it, not after the disappointment of Dragon Age 2. I will wait until the day before it's released to pre-order to pre-load if I decide to buy the game, I will not make the same mistake and pre-order early when there was barely any gameplay shown until the last week before release.

At 9:00 on release day for Dragon Age 3, I will be standing outside my game store with a danish in one hand and a coffee in the other to pick up my pre-order. I will have arranged to take a week off work and made sure the house is clean and there's plenty of food stashed in the fridge and freezer, as well as a pizza menu stuck to the fridge. I will have warned my friends and family that they are not likely to get a sensible response from me if they call or visit during the first few days. (Unless '!@#$ off, I'm killing darkspawn!' counts as a sensible response.)

Given that I loved both DAO and DA2, I see no reason to think that I will not become completely obsessed with the third installment as well. So, yes, I will be getting it on release day.

I will, without a doubt, no matter what the trailers or demo are like, buy this game on release for full RRP and may even buy LCE.

This!

I rarely buy games on release day, much less pre-order them. Especially with Bioware's recent track record. I will be patient and wait.

I will wait and see. Depends on the info we get about the game first, and the artstyle. If it ends up being another jrpg attempt, I won`t buy it at all.

No, not after the disappointment of Da2. I have a wait and see approach.

lol no.

DA2 was the biggest disappointment I've ever experienced in gaming, and BW definitely shat the bed with a complete overhaul of a successful franchise.

They decided to streamlin it, rip the RPG elements out, make a fantasy ME2, try and appeal to the CoD crowd, and basically wanted to make more money with less investments and less effort.

Product was a generally badly accepted and rightly so (of course there will always be people who like it).
Even worse, it came out in the same year with TW2 and Skyrim, both of which made DA2 look like Tetris.

There are 4 gaming universes that i will ALWAYS buy the game on release, purely because i am a loyal fan, I understand fully that i may be disapointed, but despite bad points in each, they all have elements that more then make up for it.
These universes are Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Fable and Assassins Creed.

Remember, Bioware is a company, they would love to make a game that everybody loves, but as they are a company, it all comes down to the money, they trust that current fans will, without a doubt buy the game on release out of dedication to the series, this is whygames are always changing, because they try to bring in more customers.

You mean the Bioware fans are fools or what ?
Develop any crap an they will buy it anyway ? hahah nice.

If i want to be charitable i would rather give my money to some orphanage/poor kids ... not to multi milion $ company.

I'am ready to pay for a good quality product/game not for a company's label on it.
I don't care if it is Bioware or other company as long as the game is good.

Anyway, just wondering about your opinions on this

It depends, really.

If Bioware reps actually came out and admitted that Dragon Age 2 was an enormous failure in most respects, and detailed the changes they intend to make in the sequel, I'd at least open my mind a bit and consider buying Dragon Age 3.

If, as is far more likely, they bring out another horrid marketing campaign involving dozens of crossover tie-ins, unlockable item codes, and more 'button awesome'... no, I will not even consider buying Dragon Age 3. Maybe I'll pick it up used once it hits the bargain bin.

I said dedication to the series, I am dediacated to Dragon Age and Mass Effect by bioware, i couldn't care less about the company. It is the games i am dedicated to.

This is why i bought ALL of the Harry Potter books,  ALL of the Artemis Fowl Books, ALL of the Game of Thrones books and ALL of the Pirate of the Carribean movies, because i like the series, not the companies behind them.

If you check my Bioware games on my profile (apart form Warhammer Online because i never actully played it) You will see that i have DA and ME on the list, yet i don't have any other games from Bioware, this is because I am not a Bioware fanboy, I only buy the games I am a fan of, not all of the games they release.
