I would rather get stabbed in the junk.
After Releasing on of the worst games i have ever played and then turning around and blaming the fans i kind of don't want to.

If its going to be another ME2 with Elves and Dwarves, then no. I wont buy on release day, i wont pre-order and i wont buy when its twenty bucks, hell i wont even pick up a free copy given to me by the gods i find on the side walk. If its going to be a game like Origins, i might consider picking up the free copy i find on the side walk. Either way, Bioware has proven they walk down a path that i do not agree with, it'll take hell and high water to convince me to pre-order or buy any of their games again.

If people hate games by Bioware, why the hell are you still playing them and using the forums? Go play runescape...

Personally i loved the new combat system, would have been nice to change race but it wasnt a deal breaker in DA2, i think that DA2 is on par with origins, and again by Bioware, ME2 was just as good, if not better then ME1...

I think things are looking up for DA3 and ME3...

I'd say that they learned some valuable lessons with DAII and will learn from those lessons. They know that if they don't they are only setting themselves up for failure. With DAIII they know it is make or break because they have to restore consumer confidence. Keeping these facts in mind I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Will I get DAIII on day one? Probably, but that would ALL be dependent on what they show on the actual game via E3 and other trade shows first.

It depends on what I see and read before release. I won't fall for DLC's promotion and such. I won't believe their marketing as I've done with DA2. Right now is a no, even becasue lately Bioware's games are pretty bugged at release and it's better to wait a couple of months for solid patching. But I could change my mind if what I see seems to go in the right direction.

Actually, I'm not confident about the vision of the dev team. They seem to struggle with conflicting design goals (just read the latest Laidlaw's post about customization and icon look: they want both and it seems impossible to me).

I was wondering the same thing lol. If these people hate Bioware so much why do they keep coming to these forums?

On release? Nope. If it turns out to be good? Of course. To be fair this is what I do for all games by anyone.

No, DA2 completely poisoned the well with me. I'm not going to spend my money on something on the hope that it will be more like DAO instead of DA2. I will wait until reviews come out before I decide one way or another to buy the game. The problem with going by trailers, screen caps, and gameplay is they only show you what they want you to see so they can push all the good things at you and keep all the bad things in the back to suprise you when you buy the full game.

Going by trailers, screen caps, and gameplays that were allowed DA2 should have been an amazing game.... then people played the game.

No, probably not. I've been turned off from pre-ordering by a number of bad experiences. And DA2 was far from the worst of the bunch (see: Elemental: War of Magic). Publishers' obsession with worthless pre-order DLCs and 'perks' is also kind of offensive to me. Anyway, I'll wait for reviews and a demo as I am wont to do nowadays.

I wouldn't go to the midnight release, but if I had the money to pick it up then definitely. I would definitely like Bioware go back to using the Origins version of the Eclipse engine though, or a better version of it than what was in DA2.

I'll pre-order like I did with DA2. Love both games so I'll probably love 3 as well. Image IPB

Yup. I'll probably preorder it and pick it up on release date. I enjoyed Origins and DAII a lot and am sure DAIII will be fun as well.

I don't think people "hate" Bioware and their games; they just might be disappointed.  A lot of people became invested in the Dragon Age or Mass Effect Universe and want to see how the stories end, particularly because the games are not stand-alone, but are unhappy with the direction those games went in.  So, they have enough investment in wanting to see things wrapped up that they voice discontent with new directions.

Personally I loved Dragon Age 2, but at the same time am a little worried about the direction of ME3.  While I am excited to Pre-Order DA3, I have not pre-ordered ME3 even though I finished ME1 and 2.  For ME3, I'm being cautious as those who are going to wait on reviews before spending money on DA3.

NO.

From now on when BioWare/EA are involved:

No more pre-orders.

No more release day buys.

Both DA3 and ME3 are going to have to generate VERY good customer reviews before I consider buying them.

No. After the DA2 shock/kick in the sack I will wait for the reviews and see from there. If game ends up like I am afraid it will, I will be looking to discount boxes for the game later (if I do).
