It's been pretty clear that lately BioWare cares more about snagging potential new fans than pleasing the existing ones, no matter what they claim.
And why would they?
Doesn't really make sense in trying to appeal to a target audience you already have. They'll sing the praises of your previous product and by and large, if they enjoyed it, they'll pick up the next installment.
As a business, you should ALWAYS be looking at expanding your target audience and not content to JUST have what you currently possess.
Really, it's going to be "exactly like the previous version" is not going to interest new players...There is a reason why ME2 was more popular/sold better than ME1
obviously a lot of people have no idea about economics....
your first aim as a company is to please and satisfy current customers, as this is quite easy to achieve. Current customers are going to give you the money you need to survive as company, after this, you can go try to expand by aquiring new customers...
The problem is, the people take what they get. If you dont get what you want 100%, you take something similar (most people do so)... and thats the beginning of end. Companies should learn again its bad business to ****** off true customers in order to satisfy (or aquire) "potential" new customers.
If you dislike the approach, tell BW/EA and dont buy, its simple as that, its more effective then complaining. I dislike EAs "origin" and I told them so and I told BW, if they ship ME3 with origin, it will be the last game I purchased. And the best thing is, I dont care if EA/BW care, I am the customers, I give them money, they only give me entertainment, entertainment I can easily get elsewhere.
To repeat myself, its easier and WAY cheaper to satisfy existant customers then to try to aquire new "potential" ones.
