I was intrested in that map of the galaxy that shows all the major regions, tough you really cant map a galaxy like that, the mass relays make the "borders" loose if not non existant... theres other problems as well: What happens for example if a new species is discovered in space that already is considered "alliance terratory"? A species that has fleets, like alliance had when they contacted turians. Are they considered being invading on alliance space or do they carve a bit of it for themselves through negotiations and/or conflict?

The borders hold about as much relevance as in any other map. In this case, it's an approximate segmentation of charted systems/nebulae linked through active mass relays.

Maxing out your multiplayer character's level adds them as a war resource in single player.  That's new to me.

We've known that for months.

No, no. It's formulated differently in this article. So it's okay to start whining about it again.:P

Not to me. I've known about it since the multiplayer was announced.

OK, everyone lets bet will it include:

A) The same MP stuff we've been hearing over and over for the last month about MP.
or
B) That they'll say this is the best place to start the ME series and blah blah blah.

Correct.. Well with A

I still dont understand how it is exactly supposed to work. Bioware did promise mulitplayer doesnt affect normal campaign in that you can still get the best ending, is it just a substitute for not doing all the sidemissions then? Or if you do them "wrong" or screw them up  you can still get the same recources through multiplayer campaign?

Pretty much. It offers you choice how to gather the War Assets, either by doing all the tiniest side quests, or playing some MP.

If you're screwing up your efforts in SP, why complain on a possibility to rectify them through MP? O_o
And if you don't want MP to affect SP, then don't suck at SP. Be thorough, and you'll get the same results.

However, I do believe that potentially "screwing up" a bunch of war assets (if that's possible at all, as opposed to "acquiring") won't make them magically obtainable through MP.

It's not the devs who write the articles=] bunch of journalists, ranging from decent to what we're talking about here, visit said dev studios and sit down with the games for an hour or another. Then they go and write articles about it. Simple as that.

But disastorous in most results.

Think of it like this:

You'll get the ME3 equivalent of minerals in multiplayer and then you can use them in your singleplayer.

The side missions is a whole other story.

It's more the journalists that are thinking that.

Interesting hint in regards to some "superweapon" of sorts found in Mars.

However, the article makes me wonder more about the "readiness meter"

For example, if killing off the Rachni turns out to be a bad decision, I could negate the consequences by playing coop with my friends and therefore raising my readiness meter to perfection regardless of my mistakes?

Not sure if I'm a fan of that at all...

Actually, that sounds great. Why should the whole galaxy be on Shepard's shoulders? There are other people out there doing things to hurt the reapers. Why shouldn't other people be able to contribute enough to the war effort to counteract Shepard's mistakes?

My head is filled with Inception jokes right now.

I'm not sure I follow:P I had the links screwed up when I first created the thread, but I thought I fixed them...?

EDIT: Okay, got it. Blasted tablets. Formatting is a pain as it is...
