I am playing the original nwn2 campaign with some friends and opted to put some points in craft armor on my dwarf. We just reached Fort Locke. I see crafting stations, but as of yet have found no moulds or ingots - not to mention a smith's hammer. How does one obtain these items?

Take a look at the nearby boxes, and talk to the smith there.

You find moulds and ingots in the boxes Arkalezth mentioned. Higher quality varieties are found throughout the game. In crates and chests as treasure, or sold in shops.

The smith Hammer is particularly hard to find - iirc there is one in Highcliffe

There is a smith's hammer in the back room of the Five Flagons, I believe. Near one of the crafting stations.
