Well, that's sort of good news, hopefully, if anything happens I can quietly shoot down Samara without Liara's knowing or choose to romance her and drop Liara in another playthrough.franciscoamell wrote...
Liara gets mad at Shepard if s/he has a new love interest in LOTSB, she does not complain about Samara or Kelly, so I think you're safe in ME3.

That's an even bigger betrayal, I hope Liara dumps you. I did that too with Jack, but I don't like Liara and love Jack, so I don't care if Liara realizes I'm no fan of her.android654 wrote...
Or, you do what I did, and do LOTSB after Horizon, reinitiate your romance with Liara, then continue ME2 and romance who ever you wish. According to Kasumi, Adama (canon female Shepard) and Jacob are no longer a couple, even though she got Liara back and has Jacob locked. How it will play out in ME3? We'll have to wait and see.

If Adama can get Jack in ME3, she could drop Liara easily. If not, there's always Kelly and the new girl. I just went after Jacob since I found it interesting how their dialogue is written, its probably the most organic flowing flirting dialogue of all the LI's.

Well my cannon Femshep is Adama Shepard. If you haven't read the leaks I won't spoil it. But there are new characters in the new game.

I really hope samara becomes romancable in ME3, she deserves some happiness, that and male and fem shep should be able to romance anyone. Like i dont like playing male shep, but I love Jack and Tali, so i cant romance themmaybe it will change . . .
God I hope not. Would run the risk of destroying characters for the sake of you being able to sleep with whoever you want. Tali, Jack, and Garrus are not Bi. And I am almost positive that that will not change. I doubt you will even be able to initiate romance with any of them in 3. You'll have to continue the romance that sparked in 2, or pick a new romance.
OT I'm not sure about Samara. On the one hand she deserves to be happy, but on the other I'd rather not distract her from her Justicar work. Aren't justicars not allowed to have relationships?

Yeah. Them jumping the species line for some way-hay-hay is one thing, but going for another sex? That's just weird.
I think that changing a character to have sex who is previously told you that they don't want to have sex due to self-control is way different than saying they're bisexual. Sexual orientation doesn't really seem to be a personality definer. Sexual activity and people's response to it, sure.

Shepard can ask Samara directly if a relationship is forbidden by the Justicar code and Samara states that it isn't.
During the rejection scene, Samara does not bring up the code as a reason for her rejection. All she said was that, provided they survive the suicide mission, she will be bound by the code again. But seeing as the code DOESN'T prohibit relationships... well, what's the bloody problem?

That she doesn't want to.
If she didn't want to, she wouldn't have nearly kissed Shepard. If she didn't want to, she wouldn't have admitted feeling a connection with Shepard. This wouldn't be an issue if she had explained why. She said "It can never be" but not why she felt that way.
Any why would have sufficied, but there was nothing else.

Just curious, what counts as attempting to romance her? I asked her what her code says about romance, but didn't go any farther than that. That comment doesn't raise any flags against your ME1 LI, does it? (as far as anyone knows, anyways).
I think you have to go to her just before the suicide mission? >_< it's been a while, I forgot...
I wouldn't think the romance question raises the flag... I think getting to the near-kiss flags it.
