"Krogan Scientists, don't exist, and this crap."

I correct myself. Sarcasm.

So, to avoid all this... My question was answered the Salarians gave them the technology to get off their planet and go to others.

Understanding the Krogan's so called "Intelligence", yes maybe they have the intelligence to create Nuclear Technology but at the same time they lack the common sense, and understanding that a Nuclear war, would devastate their planet.

Meaning, they're idiots. :bandit:

I use the word "idiots" losly.

Who says they did? When the salarians found the krogan they had already developed nuclear weapons and bombed themselves back to the stone age at least once, maybe more. That was thousands of years ago.

They aren't working on the same timeline as humans. Krogan may have been a sentient species for hundreds of thousands or even millions of years for all we know and their violent nature simply capped their advancement ability. To be able to ruin a planet like they have Tuchanka would probably take a long time.

Agreed. Fair enough.

I think its less of a case that the Krogans didn't know what the nukes would do to their planet, its more like they didn't care. Besides I seriously doubt any of the Krogans gave a crap about the environment.

Especially when their environment tries to kill them on a regular basis.

Earth, the enviroment tries to kill us every day. We just adapted to that.
So did the Krogan's they built structures.

The only difference is, their creatures are 5x the size of ours. Lol.

I'm sure they did a test run first, to see what it did.

Putting a Krogan's Intelligence next to ours, we first set out to understand what a nuclear bomb would do, and how it could effect our planet.

The Krogan's didn't do that. Meaning Aggression came first, and this should have been looked at by other races, such as the Salarians.

Personally I wouldn't have given them a lifeboat. :bandit:

I think Wreave said it best...

"Tuchanka and the krogan live together in war. The planet hates us, and we hate it."

Yeah, this is pretty much how I think it all went down.

Krogan Scientist: "Sir! We've recently invented a weapon capable of wiping out an entire city."

Krogan Warlord: "Sweet! Fire that **** up."

Krogan Scientist: "But sir. This weapon could have dire ramifications to the environment, and the planet. It can even effect your own people adversely, and we should be carefu-"

Krogan Warlord: "Yeah, yeah! But it can destroy an entire city right? Lets fire that **** up!"

Krogan Scientist: "But si-"

*Warlord pulls scientist by the collar*

Krogan Warload: "FIRE. THAT. ****. UP"

Krogan Scientist: "Yes sir.."

I'm sure they wouldn't have either, but they were kind of desperate.

Indeed. Wreave shows respect for the planet in another one of his remarks...

"See for yourself. Brave the barron war-torn wastelands, and discover the planet that made the krogan powerful enough to threaten the galaxy."

(Wreave's got a few pretty epic lines now that I think about it)

Question, who the hell gave the bloody Krogan's Nuclear Technology,

Krogans gave krogans Nuclear technology; They invented nuclear weapons all by themselves and plunged their planet into nuclear winter.

So, We've established that krogans are the arsewipes then?

Krogan Scientists, don't exist, and this crap.

Yet, on more then one occassion we have met a Krogan Doctor.

So Krogan's also built the ships that allowed them to get off their planet, and go to other planets?

I find it hard to believe that Krogan's advanced in Technology faster than the Humans. =]

I don't see how you can debate this; Its canon and verified in multiple sources that krogans were very well able to construct nuclear weapons without outside help.
Its why they were so happy to be uplifted; their planet was dying from nuclear winter when the salarians found them.

Secondly, we HAVE met krogan scientist. The lord high researcher as an example (and, to a lesser degree, the mechanic's pretty smart). As the lord high researcher demonstrates, Krogans LOVE science if it means building weapons-- and Nukes are pretty big weapons.
Your vastly underestimating the krogan's intelligence if you think they are unable to research technology.

The same mistake was made when analysing the Klingon race in Star Trek. This race had it's main ethos around hounour and millitary might. But Klingons had a great variety of music, cuisine, philosophy, science and pretty much everything else you associate with a civilised society. This was a Klingon stereotype or more like a Viking stereotype (it's all about fighting and nothing else).

While there is plenty of talk and displays of brute strength, in combat, the Klingons were more about stealth and sabotage. They developed cloaking systems and more often than not used brain over brawn to win battles. That is why the Federation depended on the Klingons in Deep Space Nine.

The Krogan are also percieved as dumb brutes. (Not helped by the fact that Michael Warf Dawn played Uvenk). This race has it's own art, philosophy and science outside the realm of combat. While combat is undeniably a popular past time as evidenced by the fact that Tuchanka looks like Fallout 3, it is pure racism to reduce the entire species to this shallow stereotype.

Yes. With luck, we'll get another krogan war after the Reapers are dealt with. People need something to stave off boredom.

The Krogan's put war before anything else... Sure, admittedly I was wrong, and I've come to accept the fact, they're not completely stupid, but they still lack common sense, and the ability to shut the **** up, and act in a polite manor.

honour in war is a good thing.
the genophage is killing unborn children 99.9 % and Most krogan trust and serve no one but themselves. This solitary attitude stems in part from a deep sense of fatalism and futility, a profound social effect of the genophage that caused krogan numbers to dwindle to a relative handful. Not only are they angry that the entire galaxy seems out to get them, the krogan are also generally pessimistic about their race's chances of survival. The surviving krogan see no point to building for the future; there will be no future. The krogan live with an attitude of "kill, pillage, and be selfish, for tomorrow we die. some actions should not ever take place.

Maybe they could just do what china did and do the whole one child per family thing but with krogans? I understand why they made the genophage but it's just not a nice thought. :/

How did the one child policy go? I honestly don't know. Even if it did work for the Chinese, that doesn't necessarily mean it would work for the Krogan. Very different cultures with different systems and values. But definitely worth considering.:wizard:
