I go to install it, it says I need to activate my game... which I did. BUT it stops installing at 22.3% and after five minutes is says " Installation failed!
As I go to install Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition, it says I need to activate the Ultimate Edition, it takes me to the code redeemer and I enter my code. I go to do some research and download patch 1.05 and that requires the installed game. I restart my computer and try it again 3 more times and again "Installation Failed" I update my EA Download Manager and still it says "Installation Failed" I do not know what is going on, I've read article after article after article and nothing helps.... I feel that I've wasted money on a game I can't even play
PC Ultimate edition WILL NOT install!!!

I am having similiar issues and I'm about to practically cry
. I've had this game for awhile and haven't played in a long time but I realized belatedly that most of my 'leveled up' and veteran DA:O characters are on my PC, not my Xbox..
My PC wouldn't even recognize the discs for my Ultimate Edition so I rashly uninstalled and now I cannot get it to reinstall at ALL

http://social.biowar...8/index/7280573 "read first" for a reason!
http://social.biowar...8/index/6265850 lots of solutions for a wide range of problems.
http://social.biowar.../58/index/81613 various DLC issues.
http://social.biowar...8/index/5151520 more DLC issues, especially for Ultimate Edition users.
Then you post/edit your own thread.
Failing that http://social.biowar.../58/index/87251 explains where official support can be found.
Help others to help you (i.e. provide more info in the first place). After all, this forum you are in now is user-to-user help. You will see very little from EA/Bioware here.

Lekyra, this happened to me and I was frustrated for days. For some reason, when I was logged onto the bioware social network (this site) it worked. I was looking up solutions and I think it needed to be logged on to the website to continue that part of installation. Good luck!

I had the same problem as well trying to install DA:O ultimate edition. It stopped at 22.3% followed by an Installation Failed! message.
My solution: return the damn thing to Amazon.com, wait for my refund to be processed and order the original versions of DA:O and Awakenings separately. Fortunately, despite having already opened the package Amazon processed my refund. Original versions installed just fine. Ended up spending two dollars less as well.

Only difference will be that you won't get all the UE extras. Perhaps trying a replacement would have been an idea. It is possible you had a bad disc.

Perhaps trying to get a replacement would have been an option. However, when I was researching the issue it was clear that others besides the OP in this thread were experiencing the same problem, not to mention all kinds of other problems with it. I just didn't want to deal with it again. The game works so that's all I care about and I really don't care about the UE extras. The only minor downside was that the original game isn't directly available from Amazon anymore, only Marketplace vendors. The copy I was sent was this EA classics UK version with no printed manual, even though the description did not say this. I was about to send it back, but I noticed that most of the vendors indicated that they had the UK version in stock. Anyway it works and I only paid $14.00 for it so no real complaints. Probably would have bought it when it first came out but for the fact that I didn't have a computer that was capable of running it until about three weeks ago.
Great game, by the way. Most fun I've had in a game since KoToR.

I always have my self logged in to the Bioware site, it asks for me to use my code for the special items and it accepted it on the second try but still failed at installation :/
