Well let's see.....without the CE and preorder bonuses.....actually....who said your shep would have skivies? They are probably going to be a preorder bonus too. =]:P

  I don't even want to get into the Paragon / Renegade options with that thought...

It's probably an algorithm that generates the keys, mako.

i.e. you'd need a keygen.

It could be, but I'm guessing they'd be authenticated against Cerberus Network which has a list of valid codes.  I don't think a keygen would help in this case.

Good luck with that.

I'm seeing the Terminus Armor/Blackstorm, and Collector Armor/Assault Rifle codes, going for scalper's prices on E-bay. There are two up for bid now that the seller is asking for 249 bucks a piece for. Screw that.

You would've thought the codes would have been posted on gamefaqs by now.

You could get it for $5 in early 2010, though.

Inferno armor was ludicrously expensive ($20) at the same time.

Best Buy was handing out cards w/ the Inferno Armor code on it w/ in-store pre-orders (here at least) for months prior to release for a $5 deposit.

I was going to say "I hope every retailer gets the same bonus," but it looks like that's already not happening. I just hope they make all the preorder dlc available for purchase at some point. I always thought it was sort of unfair that all the preorder dlc for ME2 was made available except for the gamestop preorder stuff (Terminus armor and Blackstorm gun I believe).

This. As BioWare can clearly see, most people here don't want any retailer exclusive stuff.. but they've been doing this with the Dragon Age games and ME2, so they probably don't care. The stuff will be exclusive, even after 2 years (Terminus armour anyone). This only helps eBayers, BioWare, can't you see that?

As BSN hissy fits go, very subpar.  Less childish petulance, more high dudgeon.

I hope you are happy, the pre-order exclusive madness begins. I managed to get everything with ME2, I hope I can do it again (or the completionist in me will explode).

Best Buy - Argus Rifle
GameStop - Valkaryie Rifle & Defender Armor

The Insanity has begone.

Alot of us on this site have had our CE of ME3 pre-ordered for months now at different retailers, what the **** do we get for our loyalty.

Nothing.

Isn't it ironic that Bioware is using stuff like online passes (Cerberus Network) to make people buy new, but at the same time gives pieces of exclusive DLC to the very same business that's selling used copies or their game (Gamestop)..

What a load of ****. What a load of ****ing ****.

Well, apparently they aren't loosing that much money to the second hand market. Or GameStop has one hell of an offer for these exclusive items.

If any Bioware people are still watching this thread, can you tell us flat-out if these are the only two pre-order exclusives? I'm about to cancel my Origin one and pre-order at Best Buy and Gamestop if that's the case.

I hope they don't get too crazy and end up with a bazillion different pre-order bonuses.

Man oh man...just watch. For us to have everything we're gonna have to pre-order from 4 or 5 different places, whereas with ME2 you could pre-order the CE from Gamestop and get everything.

I'm confident no game will ever top Akrham city. I can see something like Gears of war 3. 1 at Bestbuy, 1 at amazon, 1 (Or rather 2 in this case) at gamestop, and maybe 1 at Wal-mart or some other store like it.

Yeah, that was overkill, but at least they released them all, so everyone can get them. Given BioWare's trackrecord, I don't see the same thing happening with ME3.

I have no complain in a lot of different preorder bonuses for different retailers is Bioware will put them on sale one or two months after launch. I mean, they are preorder bonuses. After the release, why shouldn't they put it on sale. They'll make more money .There are people who'll get them (myself included).
I never understood why they haven't done it for ME2. I hope they'll do it this time.

I rather have a overkill that you can buy later after some months than getting none of them.
Store's here getting none of them.<_<

So there are at least:
- Collectors Edition
- Game Stop Preorder Collectors Edition (Valkaryie+Defender armor)
- Amazon Preorder Collectors Edition (M55 carabine)
- Bestbuy Preorder Collectors Edition (Argus)
- Standard Edition
- Game Stop Preorder Standard Edition
- Amazon Preorder Standard Edition
- Bestbuy Preorder Standard Edition

This is even more fu***d up than Windows since there is no superior "ultimate-preorder" edition you just miss 2, at least if you do not buy the game twice or get a code from someone else.

1. You cannot compare them, since we got no stats, just pictures and blurry casual-descriptions
2. Therefore we neither know which one fits the own playstile the most
3. Nor which is most useful for a specific class
4. And of course we dont know how they are compared to the default ingame items

Best outcome of this whould be that all of these retailer-specific-items are just new models+textures that share the stats of regular or CE items, then it whould frustrate only those that expected something superior.
But most likely this is just a >66% chance to get the wrong item and be frustrated.

Everything whould be ok if there whould be retailer-specific apperance packs, that whould be something where you know which one suits you the most, since you just have to see them.

This. Hopefully it stays at two retailer exclusives.
