Retailer exclusive pre-order DLC is probably the thing I hate most in gaming nowadays. At least sell them after a short period of time, like Arkham City or LA Noire. That way your precious retailer can have his own pre-order incentive, and fans don't have to buy codes on eBay just to get every item possible.

Oh god, if you're going to do pre-order bonuses, PLEASE do it like this:

If you pre-order from store A, you get item X for free; if you pre-order from store B, you can get item Y for free; etc...; OTHERWISE if you don't pre-order from any of those stores or buy from a non-participating store, then you can always BUY the extra items from Bioware.

I don't see why something like that couldn't be worked out.

Perhaps I should have added an "end sarcasm" command to my post?  I sometimes forget it is very very very difficult to differentiate between seriousness and satirical sarcasm on the internet, especially on a social network where it is so rampant...

Alright as one who enjoys Retailer Preorder bonuses at the sametime of hating them can you do what Rocksteady did with Arkham City store bonuses and make it available for everyone as DLC a couple months after the game has been released. I really do like that approach RockSteady took with Batman and hope you guys follow suit. We understand the need for preorder bonuses and everything but make sure they can be put up as DLC later after release like a few months or so for everyone to grab. You guys listen to your fans and that would be one thing to listen to so everyone can get the DLC eventually.

SWTOR is not needed for a messed up sleep schedule. A crappy job with no set schedule to rely upon and refusing to go to sleep because another work day awaits is also a good reciepe for that.

I just hope it's not another mousepad, like with DA2. The pre-order bonus's for EB Au I have seen:
are the lithograph prints for dissadia.
an artbook thing for BBS
a pack of KH cards with kh 365 days
MW3 red-bull.

I'm pretty sure they didn't have one for ME2.
I guess we'll find out in febuary.. a double-sided poster would be cool.. just so Ican scare my young nephews :innocent:

I saw this in the Twitter thread.  Looks like it hasn't been officially announced yet on gamestop but the image seems to spell it out.

Looks like they kept the assault rifle and armor from the N7 bonuses.  Crafty. <_<

As Awesomename and Darthsilver have said, can BW make the retailer specific DLC available for purchase (maybe for somewhere between 80 - 160 biopoints) a few months down the track (most of the companies have been doing it lately)

It depends mcneil. Sometimes they can, sometimes they can't. They made some of the armor available for purchase in DLC later on but other remain CE and retailer exclusive.

I hope we can get them later, that rifle and armor look sweet and I can't order from gamestop.

100% agree, such things should be banned by law.
Cannot understand myself how so many ppl here on BSN are like "I do not want a complete game, i want retailer-specific items so that i never or just by luck get all of them, its good to be forced to buy at ... to get the item i want!":sick:

Just remember, the customer and fan is way more important than the retailer. Rockstar games already set the precedent in how to distribute pre-order DLC. Red Dead Redemption and LA Noire both had sets of pre-order items split between Gamestop, Bestbuy, Amazon etc.. and before either of those games launched, Rockstar told the public that these pre-order items would be available as DLC to everyone after launch.

That is the new standard for retailer-exclusive dlc. Get your sales and incentive, but after launch, make the ME3 pre-order content available to everyone as DLC.
