Are we sure this legit? It's normally spelled "Valkyrie".

As Linkara says "Poor Literacy is Kewl"

a. It's on the Gamestop site.
b. It's not the first time an N7 weapon has had a mispelled name.

Lame.

Well, it's lame if the only way to get it is to order it from a particular store. It would be ok if the items eventually are put up as bonus content for purchase but not something that's unattainable after the games release.

I really hate these pre-order things, I don't understand why people ask for them. :/

Fair enough. I just expected that bioware would make a "valient" effort at using a dictionary.

I hope you are happy, the pre-order exclusive madness begins. I managed to get everything with ME2, I hope I can do it again (or the completionist in me will explode).

Best Buy - Argus Rifle
GameStop - Valkaryie Rifle & Defender Armor

I hate these pre-order stuff. It's just more "space" that Bioware could have just dedicated by adding more content into the game. ME3 better not just have 5-6 types per style of weapon with me having to dish out $10 or more just to get 4 more. -_-

WHY? It's pure bullcrap. >.<

Hopefully not something people will rage over not being able to buy like unique weapons or armor. How about something ridiculous like Elvis hair for Shepard? That would be lulzy whilst saving the galaxy.

If this pre-order thing is true, it seems too really stick it to people who really like the ME series. While the developers can do what they want with their game, they have to see and know how much people hate seeing EXCLUSIVE pop anywhere. I would rather they just put all the exclusives in the CE and maybe, maybe raise the price a little as a reward to the people that are willing to buy an already more expensive version that won't be on sale forever.

Also, what if bioware could take a page out of epic with the upcoming multi-player beta. Depending on when you play or how long you play you can unlock different weapons in ME3 when it comes out. Now that I think about it though, as anti multi-player as people have been on this board, maybe it's not such a good idea.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if this was a result of them trying to eeke out a little more extra space on the disc by making the guns DLC, with the side benefit of getting some extra money through the contracts for these pre-order bonuses.

I just wonder if the rest of the N7 guns will eventually be sold DLC, because it seems a lot more unfair to give everyone who doesn't get the Collector's Edition part of the N7 weapons line the AR and armor, then deny them the rest of set. At least with the Terminus Armor and Blackstorm, you didn't miss out on other things that were supposed to go with that set of equipment.

Yes, but what you get depends on the store you order from.

The fault for retail-based exclusives falls on the retailers, not developers. They basically demand exclusives or refuse to sell the product, seriously hurting market exposure. Retail stores are dieing out anyways and will be seriously hurt in the next generation of consoles when they use more digital distribution and have to make as much money as they can before it all comes crashing down. Blaming Bioware or for that is hoonestly misguided as even digital distribution sites like steam mandate exclusive preorder bonuses, the only difference being theirs pertain to TF2 not the actual games being sold.

You MIGHT get one of them free....did you preorder from GameStop or Best Buy?????

Also what's taking Aamazon(US version) so long to put up their preorder bonus.....probably gonna be the lame white rifle like the French Amazon but still, they're taking way too long. GameStop is killing their business with a preorder bonus so awesome that it causes instant indoctrination.

Okay the retailers are to blame for saying give us something exclusive or we won't sell your game makes it frustrating for us as consumers, I do understand why retailers do it. At the same time developers can say NO, while it may not be a sound businesss practice I would enjoy it if it happened more often.

No, its 100% for the extra money, weapon graphics, sound etc. are nothing to other things (like voiceover) if you compare disc space, and discs are cheap it whould be no problem to make an additional disc, especialy compared to some of those CE bonuses.

Unfair? If you buy CE you pay nearly 50% more! Its not unfair if those are CE-exclusives, and they should be superior to this retailer-specific-bs of course!

They seem legit. I saw something about a valkaryie rifle in the leaked script weapon list( I just looked at the weapons list, nothing else.) I didn't see anything about power armor though. the Valkaryie is essentially an upgraded version of the avenger that has all the same atributes ecept that it's more powerful and way more accurate. It was created by the alliance military. The Argus is used by C-sec officers because of it's accuracy and is similar to a mattock so a well trained shooter who can be efficient with his ammo supply won't run out.

Best Buy - Argus Rifle

Looks like a Mattock rifle knock-off.

The Argus is in the script list, but the Best Buy blurb omits the part about C-Sec using the gun, which is why it goes from saying that it fires in bursts to "Others are adopting the gun" without saying who they are.

We dont have Best Buy in Australia, and Gamestop/EB Games is normally $10-20 more expensive than other retailers.

When publishers do crap like this, they have no right to complain when people decide to fly the Jolly Roger.

Same here in NZ, the really annoying thing is that EBNZ lately hasnt had the gamestop dlc for some games for some weird reason it has been the walmart dlc (a couple of times) and once the best buys

I feel really sorry for you guys in Australia. You're always getting screwed over by the biased rating system and government, plus, your prices are so high.

This is BS, why does gamestop always get more with Preorder DLC. I wonder what will Amazon get since that's where I'm preordering from and Amazon usually never gets the best stuff.
