Is it just me or do the pre-order guns look very similar to each other, almost like they're based on the Falcon gun? <_<
The Argus Rifle from bestbuy certainly seems to resemble the Falcon, though we probably have to wait for the game to ship to see the differences between them in action.

Falcon:

Argus:

Valkaryie:

uhh, i think the argus looks more like the mattock.  Falcon and Valkyrie looks similar though.  But im ok with that, i think they look awesome.

I'll throw in my hope that they'll offer all the free DLC as purchaseable DLC at some point. I already preordered with GameStop but I'd really like to try out that Argus rifle and see if it stands up to the example of the Mattock. Also, I'm a hopeless OCD completionist in regards to ME DLC and need each piece of DLC so my brain doesn't melt. D: I know it's just a bunch of pointless guns, most of which I won't use once I find my preferred weapon loadout, but I just love the idea of having all these guns and armor available to my Shepard and squad.

So yeah, hope Bioware decides to sell the DLC I can't get at some point.

We are working with retailers, including Gamestop, to establish what, if any, retailer exclusives they will have. We hope to have this information for you early next year. When we do, we will let everyone know. :)

Amazon.de /.uk /.whatever on that list too?

I still demand early access to that demo for pre-ordering the CE of ME3 :P

I am Getting the N7 Collectors Edition From Gamestop so I will get all that stuff but I still want all the extra Goodies as well I am going to get the Dr. Pepper DLC and hopefully the other Preorder Bonus's some way or another.

I second that Ester I have every piece of DLC for Mass Effect 2 Weapon's & Armors and even if you don't use them I want them lol I suppose I am a Completionist as well so I support them making the Pre Order Bonus Weapon's & Armors in a Paid DLC I for one will Buy it on release day.

I doubt there will be any Dr. Pepper DLC this time around.

Oh, we all know there will loads of more of this crap..

Maybe the game will only come with the five guns listed in the N7 section on the Mass Effect website, and the rest will be pre-order bonuses and DLC. Maybe we will be able to visit the citadel if we pre-order at Walmart!!! Or be able to beat the game way faster, if we all pre-order a ultra omega crazy time edition!!! Wow, that would be soooo awesome!

I just can't wait to pick up my "Poor S.O.B. Edition" at my local game retailer! Feels good to know that Bioware doesn't give two ****s about stupid a'holes like me, who doesn't buy all my games at Gamestop!

tl;dr Just include all these guns on the disc for everyone..

There weren't that many different bonuses for ME2......nowhere near as many as DAO.

ME2 actually only had two preorder bonuses plus the Dr. Pepper items plus the Digital Deluxe exclusive rifle. A few yes but not a great deal. DAO had exclussive items left and right for everyone who owned a store, their momma and their dog.

Really?  It's pretty simple.  The point is:

a. to incentivize pre-ordering
b. to incentivize pre-ordering from retailers who have pre-order bonuses

Retailers also will do their own promoting once they've secured a bonus, so it's like free extra marketing for the publisher.

And to inspire the hardcore fans to purchase more than one copy.......sure worked on me. I dropped like a rock when I saw the GameStop items and Preordered a second CE before I knew what hit me.

Shopping while high is a bad idea......but I was perfectly sober until seeing that picture got me high in a nanosecond and sent me on nerd overdrive mode.

Meh, we all have our weaknesses.....and despite not being as good as the KotOR games(NOT including TOR) Mass Effect is my greatest weakness and is most likely to cause irrational behaviour in me. Still all things considered I do not yet regret going for two CEs of ME3.

Remind me when release gets closer and I may. Provided I don't end up having to trade it for other things I'm missing.

I'll still have to somehow get my mother to comprehend what a code is and pass it to me over the phone since GameStop doesn't ship where I live....urgh.

Are aussie retailers ie. Game, EB Games, JB Hifi, gonna get any "exclusive" pre-order bonuses or are those of us down under gonna get shafted yet again?

EB Games is a GameStop domain so they should carry the N7 armor and rifle same as the main GameStop in the US.....theoretically speaking. But you may want to check with the Austrian retailers or the Austrien EB Games website to make sure.

I've pre-ordered my CE through Game UK - normally, as they're arguably the main game distributor in the UK, they have pre-order bonuses. Fingers crossed this stays true for ME3!

They will probably have a preorder bonus.....the question is will it be anything anywhere near as awesome as GameStop's? And yes EB Games = GameStop. Mass Effect 2 only had 2 preorder bonuses....the Inferno Armor for all non gamestop stores big enough to get a preorder bonus and the Terminus armor and weapon for GameStop. It does look like ME3 won't have too many preorder bonuses as both France Amazon and Best Buy both get the lame white rifle and am expecting all other Amazon sites to get lame white rifle too.

Seems to be a trend.  Watch the N7 unboxing video again:  the sniper rifle is named the "Valient".

Almost certainly they will, yeah.

JB and EB (and possibly Game?) got the standard American preorder stuff for ME2, I'd imagine EA delegates its local publisher branch to sell off or assign the preorder bonuses.

I don't remember whether EB's bonuses were the same as Gamestop's, I actually think they'd be separate (given the presence of other local retailers who would want to bid for the juicy stuff too).

Fun fact for the grammar police.....and the regular police too I guess....

Do you know that what is considered correct in terms of grammar, punctuation and yes even spelling changes over time? You should look up a little something called Old English and see how that compares to what we speak today. Then we have distinctions between American, UK and Canadian English too. So the whole "omg you spelled wrong" point carries little weight. Not to mention that the game is over 170 years in the future....I am willing to bet that the English people will speak in 170 years will be as alien to us as Old English is to what we speak today.

Armor or Armour

Whiskey  or Whisky

which is one of this is the correct spelling.  :wizard:
