I can't say Ash is the new Miranda. But they do look alike. Ash has her hair down now, like Miranda, ass like Miranda, about the same color hair, pretty much sexed up like Miranda. So in more ways than one, they are alike.. but there's enough differences to tell them apart. Now comparing a pic of Ash's face on ME2's Horizon to your pic of Ash in the first post.. that is one helluva change from Horizon to ME3.

Having watched the leaked beta I have to say that I really, really hate the whole hooker-boot-look she has going. She's definately been Miranda-fied. I usually keep Kaidan in ME1 so her look isn't a big problem for me though, I just won't include her in any playthroughs. But I would be seriously disappointed if she had been my VS.

The Ashley I knew would never don such a tawdry outfit, and kept her hair in a disciplined bun, reflective of her persona. She wouldn't put anything on show for everyone to see, as this new iteration of Ashley does, but only opens up to people who gain her trust.

However, if this new Ashley is the same on the inside as she was in the first Mass Effect, then her physical appearance won't bother me too much. Here's hoping that this is the case, as she is my Shep's sole love interest and one of my favourite video game characters of all time.

From what I read so far *caugh* spoilers *caugh* you don't need to worry about Ashley's character. It's her appearance that changed, not her spirit.
Besides that, I think I read once you can change her hairstyle. She also has armor.

Overall, nice analysis about her character: she doesn't trust many people and shows them her tough outside. Only her close friends, her family and her lover know who Ashley truly is.

On the plus side, there will likely be a lot more Ashley fanart after ME3 comes out. There is far more Miranda fanart out there from what I've seen so far so I am just making an assumption that it is due to her appearance.

I found them, but almost the entire 2nd page of images were Rule 34.

I'd say there's more Rule 34 than fanart.

Wouldn't nude art be considered Rule 34 to begin with? At least NSFW.

According to my private statistics - and that's just googling for images - most nude pics are from Miranda and Liara, followed by Tali.
Ashley is not that famous. Part of me is glad that's the fact - means for me, the guys respect her enough not to draw her nude that often. Another part is disappointed - lack of Ashley fan-artists?
After all, there's generally not that much Ashley!fanart compared to other female characters. Uhh except Jack maybe.

Her body portrays artwork itself, so it probably makes for an interesting challenge to draw her with all those tattoos.

I have yet to see a piece of fanart depicting Jack with the correct tattoos.

By old, do you mean people that liked her from before, or physically older?
