So I pee'ed on a pile of bones that a bunch of one-legged monkeys worship.
I think I can handle the risks.

Ashly doesn't have the hideous sterotype-accent.I want to bang my head on a wall; everytime I hear Miranda say 'a bloody icon' at the start of me2.
How is it stereotypical?
Yvonne Strahovski is Australian > Miranda has an Australian accent.
I guess people from Great Britain don't have their British accents, or people from Ireland with their accents, or African people with Afrikaans sounding accents.

I'm well aware she is Australian. The accents differ from region to region, the use of slang differs from region to region. The fact they had to use 'bloody' in the opening line is almost as bad as being asked 'do you have kangaroos in your backyard'.

I think everyone is interpreting the op incorrectly. They're merely stating the obvious, Ashley will replace the void of conventionally attractive woman on the Normandy. No need to lash out against the obvious.

Oh my god, do you have kangaroos in your backyard? That'd be amazing!
Ok, maybe it's because I'm speaking from a place of relative ignorance, but I've always found her voice to be quite natural sounding. Perhaps her accent isn't fitting with the slang that's usually associated with it? I assume that's what you're getting at. At any rate, I've always found myself ensorcelled by accents similar to Yvonne's, so you won't be hearing me complain any time soon.

So the point of this thread is...stirring up trouble?
Anyway, yes Ashley is the sexy looking female human aboard the ship, Vega the sexy looking male human. Her face though is not that similar to Miranda's and her character isn't either. Also, Ashley's casual suite is slightly less suggestive and she has armour. She's not replacing Miranda, she's her own character, it's unfair to judge her in any other way. You just saw a few similarities and then generalized the two characters appearance.
Let's play the final game before we do that, so we can judge fairly.I don't think that that is what you meant to sayCptData wrote...

No, we do not have kangaroos in our backyard. It's hard to explain, unless you live here. Short story, sat down with some bff's to play 360 (One wanted to try ME2) after the cutscene they all pretty much say ' are you fing serious.."
