You are saying, " but in the past, we had less LI ", but we aren't in the past anymore, and Bioware could totally fix that.
So, I don't want to see anymore this excuse, we know that it has changed today.
And what the hell are you talking about replayability ? That's the same with this system too, since you have to create another gender character to have a romance with a character that you like but you can't have with your first character.
if I want a romance with Garrus, I know attracted to women, according to his identity, I simply decide to create a femshep and respect what he is. Why do people want to jump on anything that moves ?
If a woman is gay, she is gay (even the most beautiful for me, most badass or whatever you want ) and I create a female character, if I want to create a love affair with her. Why is it so difficult to meet and respect that ? This is part of the interest of the story, to know what they dislike or like, or are indifferent to, what they are, by which and who they are attracted or are not attracted.
Bioware is driven to tell us, we will allow you to customize, but according to their identity. Okays, so more identity. So why destroy their sexuality since you want more idendity ? sexuality is a part of human identity.
Also, the result was disastrous in DA2, it did not convince me. I felt them cheapen, completely sterile romances that do not recognize the character's desire and not even my gender. No, he doesn't know who I am, just a machine that serve my desire.

Isabela definitely...no matter if you are playing a male or female it's obvious.
Anders is conditional...you have to be playing a male and you have to be nice to him in the first conversation.
Was it okay the way DA:O did it? I mean, there were options listed that were obvious m/m flirts with Zevran or f/f flirts with Leliana...is that really different?

What's wrong, with gays, bi and straight ?
They won't do gay only LIs.
Everyone arguing for this assumes that's an option on the plate but it's not.
So what you are really arguing for (even if you don't realize it) is straight and bisexual LIs which privileges those that play heterosexual characters b/c they will always have more options. I don't think that's fair.
It's no different than BG2 privileging heterosexual males over heterosexual females by giving them 3 options vs. 1 option.

I actually didn`t notice that bit with Zevran. I killed him in my first playthrough (figured he was a badguy), and in my second playthrough I was playing a rogue, so I didn`t talk to him much. I know about it now though, but for me its not a bother since I never use the fellow. No room in my party.

Seriously though, I can't believe we're still having this discussion.
Four bisexuals in one city isn't unrealistic. If anything we should see a lot more of the critters running around. Also, if we're going to get crassly sociological about it, doesn't it actually make perfect sense that people of a similar sexual disposition end up sharing venues and acquaintances? I think most people find a certain measure of comfort in that kind of familiarity, so it's only natural to seek it out.
And frankly, it's nobody's place to whine about realism in a world wherein people slay dragons with pointy sticks, giant stone men stroll around casually like it ain't no thang and Cullen has somehow received a promotion.

Oh there's no problem.
Hopefully the lack of gay characters will be fixed in a future bioware game.

They do...the romances in DA2 differ a bit based on gender.

So don't use/talk to Fenris/Anders.
Actually, you don't even have to recruit Fenris.

Merrill...I never really thought the Dalish would go for a same sex relationship....mainly for the whole having to procreate to carry on the lineage of the people.
and
I disagree with you both there, I cannot stand MerrilXCarver, she is always my Marian's second half, Marian and Merrill are just the most adorable couple ever, hands down
Carver just irritates me and whines about everything, if there was an option to whack him with my staff I would do it!! (Thus I always kill him of...)

In the DA world dragons and stone giants excists. its in the lore, ergo in that setting its realistic. But having Darth Vader show up in Kirkwall would be unrealistic.

Yeahh, I mean I don't mind in ME now, I have Liara and I hoped in DA 3 we could continue Hawke but no, new character D: I'd love to see how Hawke and his/her lover fight to stay together and alive and I wanna continue seeing the adorable Merrill~

Morrigan and Alistair just had more content at the end b/c they were more plot-important.
Morrigan's romance still fits with a female...I've done it.

You're not making any sense.
Obviously bisexuality is part of the lore as well, considering we've encountered characters who are, in fact, bisexual.
Although if the point you were trying to make is that Vader is secretly bisexual, I would buy that. He and Obi-Wan had some serious chemistry.
P.S
Obviously it goes without saying that I refer to Alec Guinness' Obi-Wan from the original trilogy.

Funny, the Zevran romance had the most dynamics to it since it actually changed his character for the better, unlike the Alistar romance which, while it had more implications to the Origins plot, didn't do much in shaping how Alistar behaved (instead it was a personal quest that did that.)
