ME3 will probably shock the hell of Skyrim players, ya know with ME3s lack of bugs,game-breaking glitches and lag. In the post Skyrim-era, ME3 will be a shining example on how to program a game the correct way.
Pretty easy to do with 300x less content.

Sofar in 200 hours of Skyrim I have experienced 5 major bugs....three freezes, a loading mammoth dropping down and hovering weapons.
That's a bug experienced every 40 gameplay hours. In a game that big.

After 150 hours of Skyrim goodness, I have had 15 freezes, Dragons not giving souls about five times, several quests unplayable because of bugs, two crashes to desktop, one dragon attacking everything but me, always hovering out of range. Also falling through the world and getting stuck inside a rock. Enemies inside rocks, too.
Oh and of course, the ever-backwards flying dragon. Two times.
That's... more than one bug every 40 hours.

I'm pretty sure that when he mentioned quality he was talking about things like superior writing and quests/missions, not bugs. Although I've never experienced that mech bug myself, while Skyrim had that annoying one that made all the guards in Markarth hate me forever.argonian persona wrote...

I've had 4 daedric quests glitch for me right near the beginning and I was only able to fix one. I couldn't finish the imperial quest because it glitched for me as well. At one point the companion quest glitched as well and I could not continue unless I went back 10 levels. Whenever I turn into a werewolf I have a sword in my hand. Walls and floors keep disappearing for me and I fall into them, mammoths have fallen from the sky, and dragon skeletons have popped out of the ground. I still love the game.
I've never had a single bug in any mass effect game. Other than the level up glitch where I had infinite points. I still love the game.
You're an embarrassment to Argonians everywhere.

Do you mean an error on ME2 or Skyrim? I can't answer either since I don't have PS3, but I since wasn't sure which you meant, it might confuse others, too (not that anyone else is as easily confused as myself).

Bioware hasnt released a product that has been buggy to the point that you cant play it. They have released a product that had poor design but even that game had a good story to it.
This Post-Skyrim era isnt good for Bethesda if you ask me because it just made people realize Bethesda cant debug their games right. So Mass Effect 3 will do just fine because at least we wont need to wait a year after buying the game to be able to play it to its fullest.

I geniunley can not believe you are this dim...how do you know ME3 is vastly different from ME2? In terms of gameplay it looks exactly like ME2 with a better cover system, more rpg features and smarter AI. You can not come to your conclusion based on the 20 minutes of gameplay footage we have been shown! I don't know how many times i haves stated this, you keep repeating your self and act like just because there are a couple of other people with the same concerns you have that automatically makes you right open your eyes it doesn't! You can voice your concerns all you want but don't act like your concerns are actually stone cold facts. These are your words not mine "It is a shootacular Michael Bay wannabe with extremely linear gameplay and simplistic illusion of choice" have you even seen a Michael Bay film? Call of Duty, Gears of War, these would be games that are "Michael Bay wannabes' they have no story carboard cut out characters and place all the emphasis on action, how is ME a "Michael Bay wannabe" when it has an actual story and 3 dimensional characters? As for the gameplay, once again you have to be effin kidding me!?! You think ME has linear gameplay but you love skyrim? Skyrim, a game where combat involves pulling the 2 triggers and moving the left stick to kill a dragon, ME is not all shooting as you make it seem to be, you have powers that you can use, there's tactical squad gameplay and the different classes mix up the gameplay. As for choices don't you dare even try that crap, I'm going to assume you've read the leak, an incomplete, unedited, never meant to be seen in that form script. That script gives you no context and basically read like a new playthrough not an import, the fact that every character is alive in that script proves that. Once again you are comparing the game to skyrim, ME does not nor did it ever have areas as big as skyrims but you are not in a narrow corridor 95% of the time, once again I question if you've ever played these games as you've claimed. Once again you show your stupidity, you think the different game modes waisted resources LMFAO! Action mode, rpg mode and story mode are the same thing, action mode just makes the choices for you and story mode is basically super easy mode, I know they waisted so much valuable time and resources here, damn did you even read that part of your post, I mean you could've at least said they waisted rescources on multiplayer, but no you took the route of a truly ignorant jackass and said they wasited resources on action mode LMFAO you're a joke dude. The rest of your post is even more pathetic, you can call me an ME fanboy and say that I worship it or whatever, but I can say the samething about you and skyrim, you blissfully overlook the flaws that game has and instead repeatedly state how every game should be more like your precious skyrim. I'm perfectly aware that they're are other idiots like you with concerns but don't think we're so dumb as to believe you guys are the majority, I said it before and I'll say it again you guys are ****ing about 20 minutes of gameplay because there's too much action. Besides how can there be "mass criticisms" of a game that doesn't even come out for another 2 months, oh wait there can't be it's just idiots like you agreeing with each other voicing there "concerns'. But I guess because you've talked to these people on other forums and you say there's alot of them I should believe you right? How many's alot 20-30, oh no 20-30 peole think it's becoming a GoW clone because of the E3 and VGA footage, have they played the game? No, so quit acting like just because other people share your concerns you're right, newsflash ****** this series has always had shooting! Yes you're right genuine roleplaying can sell, Skyrim sticked to the formula so well in fact that I have trouble telling the differnce between skyrim and oblivion. And yes the galaxy map is the exporation, no it's not as deep as skyrim's but but you can still play for 50+ hours, and you're the one who said it's a difference in taste, this is not nor has it ever been an open world game! When the game comes out then you can make final judgement, if it turns out to be a GoW clone I'll probably hate it too, but dude you sound like an arrogant, pretentious tool and I genuinely wish you would just shut up. You come on the ME forums voice your concerns as if you know for a fact that's how the game is gonna turn out and every chance you get you bow down in worship of skyrim and contradict yourself, so please just STFU or provide a reasonable response.argonian persona wrote...

Mass Effect 3 is not Mass Effect 2.
This game is vastly different, and not for the better. From everything I have seen, heard and understand about this game, and it is a decent amount, it is a shootacular Michael Bay wannabe with extremely linear gameplay and simplistic illusion of choice.
The choices you make....the choices you made over the series....the same ending occurs anyways!!!!!! That isn't even touching the fact that 95% of the time you are in a narrow, small corridor or playable game area that only has the Illusion of being open. And you shoot. Nonstop. And you keep shooting, and shooting, and then there is a loading cutscene that happens, and then you keep shooting, every once in a while pulling out an Energy Sword to awesomebutton someone in an insta-kill.
At least dragon shouts made you absorb a dragon's soul, then find a word of power, then unlock that power manually before being used and governed by statistics.
There are game modes.....game modes....in this game that wasted resources on what should have been a rich rpg/shooter hybrid. You want to know what a legitimate hybrid is, and not a bastardized one that favors shooting over roleplaying mechanics? It's another EA published game: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. That is a true hybrid. A real rpg with real God of War action combat.
What is kind of sad is the fact that you guys who seemingly worship this game with a dogmatic perception it will just magically be like the other ME games in how it plays and that the quality will be the exact same. You also are oblivious to the mass criticism it is getting around the internet and how the fanbase is genuinely divided over it.
It's a shame, because those who want it to be Gears of War with Mass Effect paint have succeeded, even though it will not obtain the revenues of what it is hoping for. Ala DAII. The only main appeal that might rescue it is being the final part in a story people are invested in. If it wasn't for that, the new direction would be a catastrophic failure.
It has been demonstrated that genuine roleplaying games can obtain massive profit. Deny and alter and ignore all you want, Skyrim has cleaned up and made revenues BioWare/EA salivate and can only dream about.
BioWare has disrespected their fanbase and falsely assumed roleplaying fans that have made who they are as a company by being loyal customers to their product would fall rank and file in line with their new direction, while in realty their new direction does nothing to satisfy the consumer demand of half of the fans.
That is why there is frustration. That a great series with so much promise and potential has been compromised for glitz and glamor and a heck of a lot of shooting at things.
Where is this so called "exploration"? The galaxy map? You mean: interface that allows players to choose what narrow corridor mission they want to complete next.
The original Mass Effect had open planet exploration; it was taken away because of criticism it was too bland and barren.
Solution: take time and effort spent on precious shooting to make those planets the same size or a little bigger...and add Skyrim or AC level of detail into it. What you have is exploration with detail in an alien world.
Now too we have the Reapers become a very beatable enemy on a planet we live on.
There are many others that share my same sentiment....I've talked to them on other forums and they are many.

Post-Skyrim Era really makes you realize that Bethesda cant debug worth crap because most of their games take a year after release before its debugged properly when that shouldve been done before selling the game. There is a thing called minor bugs that slip through vs major ones that slip through, the bugs that slip through shouldnt stop you from enjoying the game in most cases. Major bugs are the bugs that do stop you from being able to play and enjoy the game if that is your type of game.

Tbh.
All this was was an angry rant stuffed to the gills with ad hominems. Attempting to debate with you a viewpoint you are obviously dogmatic about because its your existence would be fruitless.
Also as for your last sentence, original I can't imagine where you came up with that.

yeah that must've been pretty hard for bethesda, 5 years to work on a game with an oversized map and 300+ hours of repating the same side missions over and over again, I totally understand why they shipped a broken game.argonian persona wrote...

ME3 will probably shock the hell of Skyrim players, ya know with ME3s lack of bugs,game-breaking glitches and lag. In the post Skyrim-era, ME3 will be a shining example on how to program a game the correct way.
Pretty easy to do with 300x less content.
All of this hate. Too bad you folks are in the vast minority. Again, just look at any source. It obliterated DAII (if you feel this way, what then does it say about DAII?) in about every way and has been dominating game of the year voting, often called simply a "masterpiece" by sources in the gaming media and industry.

The fullest >= all ten meters of that corridor
Traversing a wasteland for twenty minutes to complete a quest that takes three minutes to complete is not what I'd call fun, so I'd rather take the corridor to cut out the middleman and just be done with whatever I went through that corridor for.

You're also in a minority genius, why do you keep bringing up DAII are you just mentally inserting things that you can provide an argument against. I played about an hour of DAII and I didn't like it I'm not defending DAII, that still doesn't excuse the fact that they had 5 years to work on this game and they shipped it broken, the size is not an excuse it's just one big map and countless repeat side missions. I don't give a crap that it's winning GOTY, I don't give a crap that it's being called a masterpiece I at least have the sense to form my own opinion on a FINISHED game. How can you seriously consider this to be a masterpiece when it has so many game crippling bus?argonian persona wrote...
