Hello everyone,

I recently purchased the digital deluxe edition off of Steam and now I cannot get my sniper rifle to be accepted by the system.

Any help?

Also is this the only place to get the DLCs?  I am not to keen on putting my credit card info out there on an unsecured webpage.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, this is the only place to legally obtain the DLC's.

Refer to the Tech FAQ on how to get DLC working.

Hmmm, the message I get is not authorized.

That means dealing with the EA oh so wonderful customer service doesn't it? Booo

Going to purchse the Shadow Broker and see if I can get it to work.

Wish this was easier.

Well, Ea's Live Chat is wonderful ...

The first suggestion was to give me a new redeem code, then it was change a file that I don't have because I used Steam.

The third was to uninstall and reinstall the game ... which would wipe out the save games from my 40 hours of playing and cause a redownload from Steam, which is over 13 gigs.

Yikes. Sent an email to EA Support. Maybe I will get a better answer this way since the other three really aren't options.

?? unauthorized should mean that you haven't connected the game to your account here that you purchased/redeemed the items on. You have to enter the email and password(without special characters #$%^&*) in the game's online section, ie the cerberus laptop, to connect it to your account here to get it to authorize the material.

I wish it were that simple. I have already done that.

When I go into the game, I sign on top the Cerebus Network, which is EA correct? WIth my email address and password.

OK, I feel like a dufus.

I just noticed that the email I signed register at social.bioware with is missing a letter in the email address, but my email address with EA is correct.

Would that make a difference?

I appreciate any and all help.

It does make a difference, as with all login names, the credentials have to match perfectly.
You can try creating an EA account to match the Bioware one, and a Biowaer account to match teh EA one, and see if that fixes your problem.
If not, then the joys of dealing with EA support to get them to merge the accounts is yours.

They just told me I can't merge accounts.

Man, I feel really dumb now.

And it says there is an EA account with that email so I can't make a bioware account to match EA.

I hope I don't have to buy this game again....

You should be able to log into these forums, using the EA account, as they should be linked.
Same with logging into the Cerberus Network login, use the EA one.

If it still doesnt work, talk to EA support again. People in the past havent had any hassles with the supoprt folks moving DLC entitlements from one account to another. Sounds like you got yourself a muppet on the end of the line.

Well, I tried to register my game under the new profile and it says invalid.

also All my promo codes do not work.

Sigh,, thanks for trying anyway. Looks like I need to rebuy it.

This is actually what the email said,
"I am sorry to inform you that there is no procedure to merge two accounts into one account.Since its against of EA policy.I am sorry the inconvenience caused to you.I hope this information would help you."

Its amazing what new bioware id with right email and countless hours with EA support can do.

:)

Thanks to you both for the help. Am downloading all the DLCs now.

Good to hear. Enjoy the game, and now you know what to do (and not to do) in a few months when ME3 comes out.
