Garrus' recruitment mission in ME2 on insanity. Particularly the basement part where you have to close the shutters. I HATE that part and haven't been able to do it. Any suggestions?

Which class are you? And do you take one or two squaddies with you?

You can pick up ammo at the "loadout thing" at the entrance between shutter #2 and #3. I always had no ammo heading to #3, so I go to the loadout thing open it and close it voila all my ammo is back.

I'd shoot the pryo's tank @ shutter #2 as well between fire bursts since powers almost never work around that corner.

Actually, Insanity + Kasumi is not that bad. I do it first too (for the
Locust). But I cheated. Shepard was rocking Inferno Armor.

I hate it as a Vanguard much of the boss fight you can't charge do to the funky terrain. As an any other class it probably isn't that bad.

there have been a few times in both games i thought to myself "im never going to beat this." heres my top whatever.

1. the two turian assassins going to choras den for the first time in ME1. so much more difficult when your a new character on insanity.
2. "the krogan" when rescuing liara on therum. ring around the rosey is the best strategy.
3. matriarch benezia. i save before i walk through those double doors eery time.
4. wrexs armor quest. features the most difficult enemies youll face the entire game. im just glad they werent biotic as well.
5. horizon praetorian. really tough at first until you figure out strafing behind cover makes it unproblematic.
6. collector ship. started a sentinel soley to do insanity, 8ish months later, hes still stuck on the collector ship.
7. garruss recruitment. killing that krogan on insanity as an adept is just dumb with all those layers of non-red colored bars hes got.

I thought Jentha was more menacing with her Revenant plus she has her two elite bodyguards and that ship shooting rockets randomly at you.

The only part of the Garrus recruitment mission I found hard was the part where you have to seal the doors underground.

Edit: And I see somebody already mentioned that in this thread.

She had a Revenant? I never even noticed, then again I usually have my squad dealing with her while I handle the regular henchman.

Definitely the 5 waves from the Arrival DLC on Insanity difficulty as an Adept with no Heavy Weapon. Went there with Stasis and the heavy mech was a cake walk.

I second that. Also any battle with Praetorians I hate those buggers.

Ugh, the krogan biotic on Therum for ME1. For ME2... I don't have much experience with shooters but I've gotten better at ME2 and I switched to Veteran and it was all going good until... the Reaper IFF mission FFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Edit: Also the first time I played ME1 the Praetorians were terrible. But I got them figured out and they aren't really a problem for me...in Normal mode at least. XD

A tie between the final battle on Horizon and the Collector Ship on Insanity. The Last Stand battle from Arrival isn't particularly hard if you know where to position yourself and which weapons to use.

Matriarch Benesia. Holy **** that drove me insane. I guess you are not suppose to go to Noveria first.

The collector ship ambush and the suicide mission long walk killed me more times than anywhere else in ME2.

Also in ME1 that krogan battlemaster on Therum can be incredibly hard sometimes.

ME1 Battle with Saren. I was just a level 30 Soldier and Had Ashley with me and Wrex. Both went down several times and used all my Med-Gel. I had a sliver of health and played Hide and Seek. Slowly chopped away his health. The Battle lasted almost an hour before I was victorious. I suppose that made the cut scene emerging from the Wreckage all THAT more satisfying.

Quite a few, most of which have already been mentioned, colossus/battlemaster on therum, collector ship, five waves on arrival. I can think of at least one not mentioned thus far, the slaver base in asari diplomacy in me1 on insanity. Since I usually get liara first in me1 before the other quest worlds, I tend to head there at a low level, and I have to exercise EXTREME caution, lest the reapers win.

In ME1, the toughest fight was on Noveria against Benezia. I remember choosing to go to Noveria first on my very first playthrough and regretting it so much.

In ME2, I still dread the Reaper IFF mission. Strangely enough I was able to handle all the Praetorians and the platforms on the Collector ship on Insanity just fine. Throw hordes of husks and Scions my way on Insanity though and I end up having a really hard time.Image IPBImage IPB

Collector Ship, Horizon, & Thorian on Insanity. Harbinger makes it the worst, as his singularity bumping you out meant instant death. I eventually figured out ways of tricking the flying black hole, so all was well. Horizon in particular was a complicated mob. They're all very spread out, and 2 scions can make it very complicated.
