low-level character ME1 insanity- Saren's assassins outside Chora's Den/Therum Battlemaster.

Tricky fights in ME2 include Horizon husk wave/twin scions, Garrus recruitment mission closing the bigger chamber (if you do it really early), first fight on the Collector vessel, and the husk/scion rush in the biotic barrier.

2 things.

In ME1 it ha to be Liara's mother. Never ever have I been so angry with an RPG. Everyone Asari in that room spams Biotics like sh!t and the first time I died like over 10 times. I almost gave up the game.

In Mass Effect 2 it has to be the 5 waves of arrival.

Hey guys, it is possible to fight the Collosus on Therum with the Mako, you just have to carefully wedge it in, I've done it in both playthroughs.

As for my most difficult fight...the Krogan Battlemaster on Therum. Or Saren's final form. Goddess that was annoying.

This. I was the Sentinel class and the Tech Armor saved my butt NUMEROUS times. All my squad-mates were dead and I was left running around in a circle just trying to avoid it so I can get into cover and fire off some shots.

Garrus and Ash with Sniper Rifle X, Explosive Rounds and the VII damage mods make the hunt simulations a lot easier.

Either it'd be the simulations in ME1's dlc that had me failing to beat the challenges so freakin' many times, or my first insanity playthrough, as a adept, who ended up facing the final boss of ME 2 with no heavy ammo, one clip of pistol ammo left, and legion and tali as my partners.
Clearly I didn't plan this ahead, but that battle literally took me a hour to slowly warp off bits of it's life and had me on many occasions at the edge of death with a collector general starting to flank my cover. Greatest battle ever!

Shadow Broker fight on insane, it was always really easy on normal but DAMN that took a full half hour as an adept.

In ME1 it was the krogan battlemaster and Benezia. In ME2 it was The fight leading up to the pretorian on Horizon, the 5 waves on Arrival and the floating platforms on the way to the final boss room.

I might be one of the rare ones who breezed through the Collector Ship on insanity. What gave me the most trouble on insanity was Tali's loyalty and Legion's loyalty. The Geth tore me apart where no one else really did.

Anything with the Praetorians. I f*****g HATE those things! Scions, annoying. Waves of enemies, hah! Meet my biotic wrath! But those @%&*! Praetorians! The fact that on Horizon, one of those is followed by the VS conversation, make Horizon my least favorite level ever.

ME1:
-Geth Armature and Krogan Battlemaster on the Liara recruitment mission. I probably died over 20 times on each of those the first time I played. On Normal.... >.>
-The last part of Feros with waves and waves of Thorian Creepers. (I'm horrible at ME1 combat btw.)

ME2:
-The part of Garrus's recruitment mission where you have to close the shutters. Fricking Pyro gets me every time.
-Horizon. Especially the last part. I hate that mission. You're low level and have sucky squadmates.
-Arrival with an Adept on Insanity. If it weren't for the Arc Projector I probably would've given up. (Still haven't beaten the 5 waves (except once when I tried on Casual just to see if it was possible. xD))

Agree'd.... I hate those things  and the Scions come close second  followed by....   Vorcha ROCKET SPAM ... there are almost as bad as the  Grunts with  Fuel Rod cannons in FireFight on  Reach... the Grunt get a pass beside they look absolutely hilarous  doing it.

yep, even the praetorian on the collector ship was a lot easier that the one one horizon (on insanity of course). Also (as one user posted before me) the battlemaster and the colossus on therum where particularly hard on ME 1

Fighting the geth armature on foot on Liara's recruitment mission. That son of a b was horrible. Ended up as me vs him as Garrus and Wrex both had decided that death was the answer.

Oh and i am not sure why, but one of the side missions in ME2 when you go to the abandonded mine and about three zillion husks turn up. I tried killing all of them and got super rage quit until I realise i could just go blow that thingy up.

Oh and the other side mission when you had to kill the two massive mechs. God damn i hate those things.
